~Lee's POV~
It was around midnight, and Charles was in the kitchen. He glanced over at his fiance, Samuel Seabury. Charles had never been this happy in his entire life, he had finally met the one person he could love without fear. They had their own cozy little house, which was full of blankets and pillows and was always the perfect temperature. And it was the best feeling in the world to share his home with his freckled, fluffy-haired fiance. Samuel was perched on the counter-top, just barely eye level with Charles. Charles reached over and gently ruffled Sam's copper colored hair.
"Charlie!" Samuel laughed, swatting Charles's hand away.
"What? Can ya blame me? Your hair's so soft!" Samuel turned a light shade of pink, his freckles becoming bolder. His green-blue eyes brightened.
"Aw Sammy, you are the cutest thing to ever exist." Charles grinned, placing a quick kiss on Samuel's nose. His fiance reddened even more, but his eyes were shimmering.
"Heh... let's just get to baking these cookies."
There was no real reason they were making cookies, they just wanted something to do. This was one of Charles's favorite things about Samuel (though everything about Samuel was his favorite). Charles could say 'Let's make cookies' at eleven 'o clock at night and Samuel would be like 'Yeah let's do it.' The plan was to make chocolate chip cookies from some random recipe they had found on the internet.
Samuel scrolled through the recipe, "It says here that we need flour, milk, sugar, and all the other stuff."
"Helpful."
"I'll get the ingredients." Samuel said, standing on the counter-top.
"You'd better not fall." Charles said, placing a hand on Samuel's back. Samuel glanced back at him and smirked. Charles kept his hand on his fiances back, studying the tiny freckles on his shoulders. Samuel rifled through the cabinet for a few minutes before turning to face Charles.
"Okay, I know it's the middle of the night, but we have to go grocery shopping."
"Alright, sounds fun. Should we count this as a date?" Charles asked, wrapping his arms around Samuel and lifting him off of the counter-top and onto the floor. Samuel was only as tall as Charles's chest, so Sam had to stand on his tiptoes to give his fiance a kiss. Which he promptly did.
"Absolutely. Now lets get dressed, at least."
"We can't go like this?"
"Charlie, I love you, but you need to put on a shirt." Charles ran a hand through Samuel's hair and smiled.
"I know. But I'm still gonna wear my pajama pants." And with that, they strolled off to their room.
Charles looked through his side of the closet and found a grey waffle shirt and a bur(r)gandy sweatshirt. He slipped them on and turned back to Samuel. He was just wearing matching pajama pants, which were fuzzy, black, and punctuated with rainbow polka dots. With the pajama pants, he wore a plain blue t-shirt.
"Sam, won't you be cold in just a t-shirt?"
"Nah, I've got you and your gigantic sweater." Charles let out a snort of laughter.
"Yeah, alright. Let's get going."
