The misty day drew to end as Amara Stone stood starring into the world before her. The lost young girl had no one left. Tears were welling in her eyes but she tried to stay strong. Amara's world just came crumbling down. As she looks up and starts walking, she thinks about her parents.
Suddenly, her brain flashes to the night it all happened. She could see the images as if it was just happening for the first time. Again, the flashes of images emerge in her brain. She was fighting with her parents the night It all happened. "I never want to see you again'' were the last words they ever heard her say as they were getting into the car. Those words were ringing in her head.
All in black, Amara felt invisible to the world. She was always such a bright, vibrant person and now all that was left was darkness. A dark side of Amara that no one has ever seen before. That day the greyness struck the sky like lightning. As Amara got darker so did the world around her.
She couldn't get past the dark phase in her life.
Suddenly, she saw it. A majestic creature in the distance. Galloping as if his life depended on it. Skinny, desperate and bleeding, the horse froze. He was drawing to her. Amara just starred at the horse in wonder, before finally moving towards him. She gently stroked his jet-black neck, then lead him forwards. The abandoned horse followed her, while giving Amara a purpose, a reason to be alive.
She hurried the hurt horse to the local riding school, shouting for help. The extraordinary vet treated his wounds and fed him hay.
Helping that creature made the grief, the pain and the suffering go away. She could never be fully healed, but it was a start.
