Chapter One

On November 3, 2002 Nyris Abby Main is four days old ; Nyris was sitting on a bean bag sleeping. Her little hands curled around a rattle, and her little feet in purple socks with pink, green, blue, and yellow Polk-a - Dots. She was wearing pink dress with a caterpillar with green, blue, pink, and purple on the caterpillar. She was wearing a pink crochet hat that has a purple flower on it. While her mother was out on the porch sitting with her boyfriend Jeffry Dobb talking about leaving to go to Las Vegas. After they decided they were leaving and started packing she ran over to the spaghetti she was cooking and took it off the stove and put it into small bowls. She made a bottle for Nyris. Her mother Margret walked over to Nyris and put a pacifier in her mouth so she wouldn't cry.

Margret could hear Jeffry packing his stuff so she went in there and packed all her stuff to, and Jeffry carried all her stuff in the bed of their silver and a little bit rusty Ford truck. After she was done packing she gave the bottle to Nyris and left her there. That night the neighbors heard crying nonstop, so they went over there and the door was opened a smidge. She pushed the door opened and went inside . When she looked through the house she went to the living room and saw Nyris. She called in her oldest daughter and told her to grab the baby while she called 911.

Today Nyris is ten years old and her birth day was two months ago from yesterday. Nyris has dark brown hair and is about five feet tall. She has purple eyes and freckles, she has the longest fingers and always wears the ring she got from her mothers things she left when she left to go to Las Vegas. Nyris doesn't know the story about her mother, she thinks she was taken from her mother when she was a baby. That is why she is afraid of child services.

''NYRIS GET DOWN HERE!'' Nyris's present guardian says. Nyris's present guardian's name is Megan.

''What?'' says Nyris, as she walks down the stairs squeezing the carpet with her toes.

'' Please sit'' says Megan

''What's wrong?'' replied Nyris

''Nothing, but even though you are very important to me but I'm taking you back to child services.'' Megan said

''What?'' Nyris says angrily

''Honey please don't yell'' Megan said

''No, why would you call me honey, you don't care for me, you never cared for me!'' Nyris screamed

''Please don't say it like that'' Megan says

''I'm going to the room I have my stuff in and I'm going to go pack my things'' Nyris replied.

She walked up the stairs mumbling to herself ''I thought she actually liked me. Why would I even think that? Nobody likes me?'' She walked in to her room looking at the blue walls and plopped onto her bed . She look up at the ceiling that is all white. She looked at the paint it has chunks and connect them and imagine things. She saw an elephant, a pencil in a sharpener, a laptop, and a heart. Then she opened the closet and grabbed two suitcases. One of them was leopard print and the other was dark purple with light purple Pok-a Dots , and there's a scratch on the left side of the suit case. I mean it's not that visible but still they were 100$ suit cases.

She started packing her things, and packed all her things, 25 shirts, her 15 pairs of pants, 26 pairs of socks, 26 pairs of underwear, her favorite baby outfit from when she was a baby, her iPod, head phones, a picture of her when she was a baby with her mother, her favorite stuffed animal (it's an elephant) and the rest of her things. When she was done she waited for child services to get here.

She saw the car lights come in the black driveway. She goes down stairs and lugged her bags behind her. She looked at the rooms one last time before she left. She whispered to herself ' Good bye, house '. She walk out the doors and almost tripped over a rock. 'jeez it's so dark out here'. She looked at the lady whose taking her away to put in another home. It's the same one as last time, except she dyed her hair red. Her hair used to be black.
