Why Do I Care Now?

First Day of School

     I woke up to the loudest and most annoying alarm ever. I got up and hit the alarm clock off. I made my way to the bathroom and washed my face. Then I brushed my teeth. My outfit for my first  day back to RedWood High would be high waisted jeans, a white tank top, a dark green parka jacket, and my white converse. Today I was going for basic. I went downstairs to the kitchen. My mom was already cooking breakfast, so I decided to eat breakfast at home instead of wasting money at mcdonalds. "Goodmorning Mom! Your up early" I smiled at her. "Well honey I have a meeting at the job today so thats my reasoning," she replied. I loved my mom deeply, she worked so hard to make sure she forgot about dad. I always talked to her about it and she denied it. My mom and dad divorced 3 years ago and my mom is still hurt. "Well I love you mom, im off to school" I kissed my mom on the cheek, grabbed my keys, then went to my car.
          The only people I deeply cared about was my mom, Kira, and Alex. My dad made me like this, he left me after years of us being happy together but you wouldn't understand. There was way more to the story.
         I started my engine and pulled off to go to school. I was one of those popular and rich girls without the snobby attitude. I still don't understand how I became so popular but it is what it is. Once i made it to school, I parked my car then grabbed my book sack, keys, and ID. While I was walking to the school building, I hooked my keys to my ID. As I was walking threw the halls, everyone were saying hi and asking how was my summer. I told them it was okay. I headed to my locker and put my books in it. I turned to walk away but i was pulled into a hug.

"Star Whats been up?" my best friend Kira said. Kira and I had been best friends since 4th grade. We had one other best friend and her name was Alex.

"Whats up Kiki? But nothing much and where is Lex?" I started walking away because the bell had rung and of course Kira was walking with me.

"I don't know but whats your first class?"

"I have geometry with Mr. Dupre." I have always hated his class. I hated math period, I always passed the class though.

"Luckily we both have that class together.. I wonder if Lex has geometry too?"

      We walked in the classroom and sat in the last desks in the back of the classroom. Our other friend Alex finally decided to show up. "Whats up y'all?" she said walking to sit beside us.

"Nothing really, just ready to get this class over with," I replied.

       The teacher walked into the classroom and greeted us, "Hi my name is Mr. Dupre and I will be your Geometry teacher. Today we will just be introducing ourselves to any new students." I rolled my eyes and glared at Kiki and Lex.

"Okay, Can we start with Alex?"

Alex stood up "My name is Alex and I am 17 years old. I am sort of a girly girl and my best friends are Kira and Star." Alex was not lying, she was the girly girl of our group. Kira was the tomboy but she could still dress pretty good. And I was in between, I could be a girly girl but a tomboy too.

       All of the students were introducing themselves. Next, was a boy named Adrian. He had dark, thick brown hair and ocean blue eyes. 'Star you cannot tell me you don't think he is cute!' Kiki whispered. I rolled my eyes and whispered 'Ehh'. "Okay next we have Star Jackson" said Mr. Dupre

         I stood up "Hey I am Star Jackson and everyone who were here the past years should know me by now but if you are new, I am a very nice and kind hearted person. I am also on the RedWood High's dance team. Don't hesitate to come to me for anything."

         Soon everyone had introduced themselves and Mr. Dupre talked the rest of the class period. The bell rung finally and I parted ways with Kiki and Lex to go to my next class. Someone walked up and on the side of me. It was the new guy Adrian from our class. "So you a good girl huh?" he teased. I looked at him and rolled my eyes but kept walking. "What do you want because I really need to get to class?" I replied. "Feisty thing, woah, but you said to come to you for anything we need." he said. I was so annoyed by his presence. What could he possibly need from me? I rolled my eyes at the thought.

"And what would that be? What do you need from me?"

"Well, I wanted you to let your friend Alex know that I would like to hit," he smirked. What the hell did he mean by 'hit' ?

"And by hit, you mean what?" I questioned. "Wow I thought you would be smarter but I want to fuck her."

           I looked at him in disgust and walked away. I then made it to my second period of the day. I went to third period, fourth, fifth, sixth, and i was now in seventh. For seventh period, I had Biology. It was one of my favorite subjects.
          Soon, the end of the day came and I went to my locker to get everything I needed. We had no homework because of it being the first day of school. Alex and Kira met me at my locker.

"Hey Star, Are you going to Chris's party on Friday?" Lex asked.

"Yeah I wouldn't miss it " I replied. "Did y'all wanna catch up with ice cream and pizza?" They both jumped up and nodded fast. We all walked to my car and I drove to my house. Kira had ordered the pizza on the way and we already had ice cream at my house. When I got home, My mom was packing and told me she was going on an extremely important business trip for a week. So I packed her some snacks and gave them to her. She kissed me on my forehead and said "Be good girls!"
