Note: Ant and Dec are both single and live in the same house.

When Dec got up in the morning and went downstairs to see his best friend he was surprised when he wasn't there. Usually Ant was the first one to get up and prepare breakfast for both of them.
Ant's keys were laying on the counter so he couldn't be out. Dec made his way back upstairs and to his friends bedroom. The door was slightly open.
"Ant?" he called and knocked on the door.
He waited a few seconds before entering the dim lit room. Ant was still in bed, but awake.
Dec made his way over and sat down on the edge of the bed.
Ant was huddled under the covers and looked up at him through tired and watery eyes.
"Hey, you okay?" Dec asked gently and rested his arm on top of the blankets.
Ant shook his head weakly. "I don't feel very good" he mumbled and sniffled silently.
Dec smiled sadly and moved his hand up to his friends forehead. Ant closed his eyes as Dec's hand checked his temperature.
"You are a little feverish" Dec remarked silently and stroked his friends cheek briefly before pulling back.
"I'm going to ask you a few questions and you just say 'yes' or 'no', okay?"
Ant nodded softly.
"Have you got a headache?" Dec asked.
"Yeah" Ant answered.
"Sore throat, stuffy nose?"
"Both of it" Ant replied. "My eyes are watering, because of my blocked nose" he sniffed.
"Yeah, I know that's annoying" Dec said as he watched his friend rubbing at his teary eyes. "Makes me want to hug you, because you look like you're crying with your watery eyes and red nose" Dec said.
Ant laughed softly, but then he coughed.
"I see you've got a cough as well" Dec smiled sympathetically.
"Do you feel sick as well?" he asked gently."No, just really weak" Ant mumbled.
"I'll get you something that will hopefully make you feel a little better, okay?"
Ant nodded and watched as his best friend left the room.
Dec went downstairs and put the kettle on. In the meantime he got some cough syrup and a pill for his friends headache and returned with them to the kitchen.
The water was boiling by now, so he prepared the tea and put lots of honey in it for Ant's sore throat. Then he took a table spoon and put some sugar on it before dripping the recommended amount of cough syrup onto it. His mom had always done it that way. The sugar would soak it up and help with the bad taste. He got a glass of water as well and put everything on a tablet, so it would be easier to carry. Then he took it upstairs and to Ant's bedroom where he set it down on the night stand."Do you think you can sit up for a bit" he asked.
"Yeah sure" Ant replied and pulled himself into a sitting position.
Dec handed him the pill and the glass of water. "It's for your head" Dec explained and watched as his friend took the pill without questioning.
"And this is some cough syrup on sugar" he showed him the spoon. Ant opened his mouth and let Dec feed him. He grimaces a little at the taste.
Dec handed him the cup of tea. "It will get rid of the taste, but careful it's still quite hot" he warned. Ant took the drink and sipped at it.
"Did you put honey in this? he asked, his voice all croaky.
"Yeah, I thought it would help with your sore throat" Dec smiled sheepishly.
"It does" Ant smiled reassuringly. "Thank you for looking after me" he said sincerely. "I really appreciate it"
"You've looked after me so many times. Of course I look after you when you don't feel very well. What are best friends for?" he smiled softly.
Ant gave him a sleepy smile in return. "Can I lay back down now?" he asked.
"Yeah of course you can" Dec said and helped him with the blanket.
"Do you want me to lay down with you for a bit?" he asked once Ant had settled."If you don't mind" Ant said sheepishly.
"Course I don't mind" Dec smiled and got under the covers, gently spooning him from behind with a warm hand on his friends stomach.
"You okay like this" Dec asked and nuzzled his neck slightly.
"Yeah Ant sighed. "Feel a bit cold though" he mumbled.
"Yeah I can feel you shivering" Dec said and tightened his hold on him a little.
Usually Ant was the one spooning him, because he was taller, but right now Ant had made himself so small that it was easy for Dec to cuddle him from behind.
"Dec?" Ant asked silently.
Dec kissed his neck gently to show him that he was listening.
"Would you mind rubbing my stomach for a while? It hurts from coughing so much last night"
"Of course not" Dec replied and slipped his hand under his shirt, gently rubbing his sore tummy.
"Okay like this" Dec whispered as he traced his hand over his friends stomach.
"Yeah, thank you" Ant sighed. He sounded really tired by now.
"Nice belly button you've got there" Dec smiled as he let his fingers caress over the little hollow.
"Thanks" Ant laughed softly.
Dec kept on stroking his stomach for the next few minutes. Eventually Ant turned around and curled up against his chest. Dec smiled and wrapped his arm around him. It didn't take long and Ant fell asleep, snoring lightly due to his stuffy nose. Dec enjoyed the fact that he could look after his friend for once. Usually it's the other way round. It was nice to give something back. With a final kiss on Ant's cheek, he let himself drift off as well, feeling warm and content in his best friends arms.
