Warming: Character death
~
They had just come back from a tiring day at the beach as Mikasa carried her
beautiful green-eyed daughter into their small home not far off form the shore of
never ending blue. Carla was on the verge of sleep but still insisted she wasn’t tired
when the raven-haired girl laid her in bed "Carla you need to sleep where going into
he village tomorrow and you know how long of a trip that is you'll need your
strength." But still the girl refused, Mikasa couldn’t help but smile at her
stubbornness "just like you daddy" she whispered but as soon as Carla heard the
word daddy her eyes light up "Momma tell me the story! You know the one about
Papa!" The older women sighed at this, she never got old of telling this story, and
she’d tell it for the rest of her life and after as long as she could. She took a deep
breath stroking her daughter’s light brown hair "Ok but you have to promise to fall
asleep after ok?" "I Promise!" Carla said back connecting her little pinky with her
mothers larger worn one. "Once the titans had roamed these lands we live on today,
large scary monsters who resembled us but where evil and destroyed things that we
loved. "Little Carla made a scared face at this and was about to say something when
her mother quickly interrupted "But. When everyone thought hope was lost and that
humanity would lose, the bravest man I know fought them, swore to free humanity
and fight every last one to create a better feature for you." Mikasa despite having
told this story so many times found her pools of black filling with water. "Your
father did just that, He saved humanity and killed the very last titan and you know
what his last wish was for?" She looked at the little child practically asleep but still
managed an "hmm" "For you too live a happy life, he loved you so much Carla. We
both do." She smiled and kissed the little girls forehead. "Goodnight Carla, don't let
the titans bite."
