After the worlds longest weekend, I wake up to hear the constant ringing sound on my alarm clock. My body rolled over as I groaned in irritation.

"Come on Adara, time to wake up," Midnight insisted while turning on the light.

"Nooo, the light burns," I cried while putting the covers over my head.

"You're a fire elemental, how does the light burn you?"

"It's too early in the morning for this, give me three more hours." Then Dad came in and ripped off the covers.

"First day of school, can't be late." He demanded and walked away. I sighed and finally got up. Why can't I wake up when the sun comes up? It's like pitch black outside. When it was time to put on my jacket it still had the huge rip in it. I went to my closet and got the black spare. I grabbed my keychain and my already packed book bag. When did I do this? Shouldn't matter, as long as it has everything I need. "Let's go, we are not going to be late today," Dad added again.

"I'm coming!" The star on my hand caught my eye but then I remember that I burned off my gloves. Midnight put her paw over my hand and it disappeared.

"It should last about eight hours so don't worry about it,"

"Thanks, see ya after school." I cheered and ran out the door after my dad.

After Dad drove off at the school I stared at the entrance. It was a cloudy day then again it's still a bit before dawn so it was hard to see. My heart sunk at the sight of the entrance doors. Going to a new school is so depressing, I have to make friends all over again. Soon after a few minutes someone put their hand on my shoulder.

"You're gonna be late if you just stare," Tyler smirked.

"I don't even know where my classes are," I muttered still staring at the school.

"I can show you everything, everywhere and who knows. We just might have classes together," he added with a smile.

"Alright, but what if we don't?"

"Then I can just point out the room but it shouldn't be that bad." We walked inside, I hope this day isn't bad.

My first period is Algebra II, it felt like an eternity in there. When I went off to Government, Tyler sat next to me in class. It was actually really fun with him in class, he said this joke and I almost got in trouble for laughing so hard. Then we had English and a very strict teacher. He was really fun after he said fifteen minutes of rules. Then we moved on to Art with Amethyst, I started doodling in class and everyone started calling me an artist. Probably a bad day to be doodling in art class. Then we had lunch which we found everyone else and sat at the same table.

"So how are you enjoying your first day of school?" Kris asked.

"I've already been bored out my mind from the first period. I say it is going pretty well by my standards though," I shrugged.

"We still have three more periods to go," Amethyst whined. Probably not going to be a good time either. After lunch, I had health, with Andrew and Anthony. They were acting unusually friendly around me, can't imagine why. We were playing games on our phones, I always get a little playful playing though. They were on my team, with a few others and I scored almost all the points. I went to Chemistry with Vanetia, we were lab partners in class. Too bad we were only doing worksheets. Then Spanish with Tyler and Kris. There was these two people in class have a Spanish conversation and thought the teacher wouldn't notice. Then we all went to our lockers, I started grabbing all my things but I got a text saying that Dad will be home late and it's the first day at work for Damon. So I'll be home alone until six. I grabbed all my stuff and walked out the school but Tyler came behind me and scared me.

"Jeez, you scared the heck out of me," I sighed while turning around.

"Sorry, I thought you were going to catch the bus with me,"

"Oh, I forgot I didn't have a ride home." I joke as we got on the bus. We sat in a two seater and the bus pulled off. It was so crowded and hot.

"Have any homework?"

"You and I both know we have Gov homework. I also have some Algebra and English,"

"Then you can come with me to homework club,"

"Homework club?" I repeated.

"Yeah, the team and I help out with homework and stuff since we look out for each other." Then we got off the bus and walked over to the white house. We walked inside and Midnight was here too.

"So, how did it go?" She asked lifting her head off the couch.

"It was a school day, not bad but not good at the same time," I stated.

"Hey, a new member for the homework club!" Vaneita cheered.

"I need all the help I can get." I sighed and we started working. It was actually really fun and we finished our homework in no time. "It's only four, what do we do now?"

"We train. What? You didn't actually think we only did homework here did you?" Kris asked.

"Oh, I forgot." I laughed. Looking around to see Vaneita's circle reappeared on her face, me and Tyler's symbols appeared on our hands again. "I guess being normal from time to time is pretty cool,"

"I thought you didn't say cool anymore?" Tyler smirked.

"Then what else am I suppose to say? It's pretty hot?" I asked.

"If you say it like that it sounds dumb," Anthony laughed.

"It can be a little fun, chum," Andrew said.

"I missed your rhyme," I smiled.

"We didn't rhyme earlier for some reason. All we know is not to challenge you at street hockey,"

"Especially when you get cocky," Anthony mumbled.

"Sorry that I got carried away," I shrugged.

"Then let's take some of that, and use it in training." Amethyst chimed. We walked out and I started target practice with my daggers, Tyler showed me how to shoot. Aiming wasn't that hard, it was daggers I had to focus on. After him showing me once, I was aiming like a pro. Not even missing slightly. Everyone wondered about my new abilities since I keep giving the same excuse. I don't remember any of this. Then it was five thirty, time to go! I ran inside and grabbed my stuff. Tyler ran after me after I said goodbye to everyone.

"You need to give me a warning when you leave like that," He laughed.

"Sorry, I don't want my parents yelling at me because I was home after them." Then ran into my house and closed the door after I said bye to Tyler. I ran to my room and turned on my tv, it looked like I've been here the entire time. A few minutes later, Dad walked in the room.

"Hey Missy, how was school?"

"It was cool, how was your day?" Dad's job didn't change when we moved, it's always been far away. It's just that he relocated, the same time we did.

"It could have been better." Then he walked away, I need to make a schedule for this. I can tell my dad that I will be home late at times because I found a new club at school. Great, now my mom won't be back until Thursday. She texted me saying that my sister had to finish a few more things for school.

For the next two school days have been the same repeat of Monday. Dad gets home late, I get home just before he does. Then I hear all around the school that there is suppose to be this huge blizzard coming. I really hope so because I don't want to go to school anymore.
