It was in the cold winter, the coldest in years when Yuri arrived. To this day nobody knows who Yuri's birth family is, or where he came from.
It was near midnight when Ms. Katsuki heard a knock on the door. She and her husband ran a small inn with hot springs, so she got up thinking it was just a guest. But when she got to the door there was nobody there. Well, not exactly. A small baby with short black hair, pale skin and big brown eyes. The baby was crying and what Ms. Katsuki confused on how flowers nearby were growing and blossoming at the soft whimpers. Ms. Katsuki picked up the baby and saw there was a note below him followed by a single bluish- purple lily. It was a beautiful flower and it seemed to glow in the soft moonlight. Ms. Katsuki brought the baby inside and placed him on the table with the lily before opening the note she also found.

I am here to inform you that
You may have gotten a child with th s note. He was in danger so I, his mother can not take care him. So please take him in, as he is not any child you can just give up for adoption. He can grow flowers. I do know it is mostly controllable except when he is sad or scared. Also with him is a blue lily. You might have noticed it glowing or just like no other flower you may have seen before. That is because it is a magical flower. It can heal anything, it can grant wishes, really anything you ask. However the boy is magically tied to the flower. If you use the flower he will die. If the flower dies so will he. So please, take great care of my boy and be careful on what he decides to do in life.

Ms. Katsuki was extremely shocked at the note. However she was a very loyal woman who always kept a promise, so she had to keep the child and raise him as her own. Ms. Katsuki picked the child up and took the magic lily. As described, it did seem to glow and was extremely beautiful. She walked over and placed the flower in a cup of water, making a mental note to find a better solution later. But as pretty as the lily was, she had a new child. "You didn't have a name, did you?" She asked him but the boy didn't understand. "Hmmm, I think I will name you Yuri, because Yuri means lily." Ms. Katsuki decided before carrying Yuri into her room to tell her husband about the big news that just had arrived.
