*write everyday for thirty days. Yes, you may break it up, but then you don’t get to say you’re taking the challenge, because you’re not, you’re just using the prompts.
*All prompts must be used together, no borrowing just one.
Day One: Write a chapter based on the quote, “"We're all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it, that's all."
Day Two: Write a chapter in which your character goes to a party on the beach and meets someone special (this person may or may not reoccur throughout the rest of the novel. You decide, you’re the author.)
Day Three: Write a chapter in which your character uses a fake ID
Day Four: Write a chapter based on Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus
Day Five: Write a chapter in which a character cheats or has cheated on their significant other
Day Six: Write a chapter in which your characters play spin the bottle
Day Seven: Write a chapter in which your character kisses somebody of the same sex
Day Eight: Write a chapter in which somebody says, “I’m not him.”
Day Nine: Write a chapter in which your character consumes alcohol
Day Ten: Write a chapter in which your character goes on a camping trip with their friends
Day Eleven: Write a chapter in which your character gets a call at midnight.
Day Twelve: Who called, why did they, and what happened next.
Day Thirteen: Write a chapter based on Flavor of The Week by American Hi-Fi
Day Fourteen: Write a chapter in which your character commits a crime
Day Fifteen: Write a chapter of them calling somebody – anybody – from the police station to come and pick them up.
Day Sixteen: Write a chapter in which your character or somebody they know dyes their entire head of hair an unnatural color (i.e. blue, pink, teal, etc.)
Day Seventeen: Write a chapter in which your character goes skinny-dipping
Day Eighteen: Write a chapter in which your character meets somebody famous
Day Nineteen: Write a chapter in which your character in which your character tells their parents “I’m not your little girl (/boy) anymore.”
Day Twenty: “I look for you in everyone.”
Day Twenty-One: Write a chapter in which your character’s friend runs away, and they must go find them.
Day Twenty-two: have your character let their inner white girl out in any way you seem fit (starbucks, infinity tattoos, it’s up to you friend.)
Day Twenty-Three: Write a chapter in which your character runs into an ex
Day Twenty-Four: Write a chapter in which your characters do the Perks of Being A Wallflower truck thing and are infinite.
Day Twenty-Five: Write a chapter in which your character sneaks in after curfew
Day Twenty-Six: In which your character gets a job working in food
Day Twenty-Seven: Write a chapter in which your character’s significant other climbs onto their roof and invites them to sit with them
Day Twenty-Eight: Write a chapter in which your characters do karaoke
Day Twenty-Nine: Write a chapter in which your characters attempt to have one last “Big Hoorah” with their friends before graduation.
Day Thirty: Write a chapter in which your character gives their valedictorian speech.
