Guys, I hope this has been a lesson to all of you. And also, another scenario:
If you get pulled into a tab with a tab with a random website address on the top, unless it's YouTube or a database, then it might be a virus.
If a virus message pops up, here's what you should do:
Usually you can't exit the tab or go on to a different tab. If you have a fast speed phone, there might be another way but with my way, sorry, it's a could chanced your screwed... but. For an:
iPhone - if the message is persistent and won't let you exit, shut your phone. Like OFF. Press the off button and say "turn off". Then, when you turn it on again, go quickly to the search engine you were in (Safari, google) with the virus in it. Before it loads, delete the tab. Don't wait. Once it loads, it will restrict you again, so do this quickly.
This might work with another type of phone, I haven't tried it yet and I don't WANT to.
Computer: this one is simpler. Go to task manager and delete the task. Learn the shortcut for task manager now, or in most computers(I think) you can go to the left hand bottom part of your screen, which will probably have the settings, and go to task manager. Then delete the task.
Just, when it says something like, "you have won a free iPhone seven!" Or something, NEVER press OK. Find a way to close the tab.
Also, another way to avoid your passwords being stolen, (this tip isn't necessary) try to have one computer or tablet for all your web browsing and social media. Not for your work social media, like LinkedIn.
Do not put your bank accounts on here. That will make it accessible to the viruses that you might encounter.
Then have another computer for your serious business, like your bank accounts and your social media for work.
Do not do any browsing on it. That might put it at risk for a virus.
So basically, the computer with the bank accounts and everything will have less risk of a virus, and the computer with more risk has little to no info that is at risk.
So this will make all your info safe!
Please, I did not mean to offend anyone who does not have enough money to buy a computer. I'm just giving tips.
And please don't say, "you can just buy a protection" because I'm jut giving tips. Yes you can go buy a protection. But still.
