I rode with Voight, in the passenger seat, of his patrol car to the hospital to ask Mr. Sonoma questions. We arrived at Med, parked, and walked in. I saw Dr. Charles near the nurse's station and asked him where Mr. Sonoma was. He told and pointed us to the room he was in. I thanked him and we walked to his room. The moment we entered his room, I asked Mr. Sonoma, "What the heck were you doing in that house?" He didn't answer. Voight started to say something, but I motioned for him to hold that comment. I asked again, furious this time, "What were you doing in that house?! Did you escape again? Tell us!" Mr. Sonoma admitted that he did escape prison and ran to his friend's house....the same house that he set on fire after an argument with his friend and friend's wife. "He accused his wife of cheating with me and I admitted! So, I poured gasoline on the wall and lit a match then boom!" Mr. Sonoma yelled. "You sick psychopath! I'm glad hospital security handcuffed you to this bed because you ain't goin' no where! Your so called son better not follow in your footsteps anymore." I yelled at him until I stepped out of the room to get a drink of water and cool down. Voight read the rights to Mr. Sonoma and though he was handcuffed already, he was arrested for attempted murder in the second degree. I told Voight that I had to go back to work, so I walked back.
When I got back to the station, I went into the break room to get a glass of water. I drank the water and washed and dried my hands and face. "You alright?" Gabby asked. "Yes. I'm fine," I replied, "just a lot on my mind." "I see. Do you want to talk about it?" "Yep." I told her everything that happened in the past few weeks including Mr. Sonoma. "Wow. But, at least Borrelli is a part of making your life positive." Gabby said. I laughed and said, "True dat!" I heard Jimmy behind me, "Were you two talking about me?" We laughed and I said, "Your ears burnin'?" He and I kissed and he replied, smiling, "Maybe." At that moment, the alarm went off for what seemed like the umpteenth time. "Let's roll!" I said. We suited up and went about our way.
We responded....to the hospital...I saw Voight yelling at Mr. Sonoma to not jump off of the hospital roof. "Oh man!.." I said under my breath. "Y'all get an inflatable landing pad!" I yelled to Hermann. They did so and rushed beneath the spot where Mr. Sonoma was standing. "I'm going up there!" I yelled. "I'm coming with you!" Jimmy yelled. We rushed to the roof and calmly told Mr. Sonoma not to jump. "My life is over! It's your fault!" Mr. Sonoma yelled at me. "No, it's not my fault!" I replied. We argued and physically fought, Jimmy tried to interfere but Mr. Sonoma pushed him away. Jimmy was ok, but he was mad, I looked back and told him that I was ok. All of a sudden, Mr. Sonoma pushed me to the edge of the building. "Don't do this!" I yelled at him, though my voice was shaking. I felt him push me closer, I tightened my grip around his arm and kicked him hard in the stomach. He didn't stand down. Voight, Boden, Casey, Olinsky, and Hermann yelled at Mr. Sonoma. I felt my foot on the edge of the building.
