"Wake up brat!" The social worker comes up to me, pulling my hair and dragging me out of bed. I rub my eyes and quickly stand.
"Now! Get dressed!" She walks away grabbing an air horn from the locked closet and walks back to her office making it go off.
I quickly get dressed in some shorts with a stitch shirt and some galaxy vans. I braid my hair and let it hang over my shoulder. I walk out of the room, grabbing my hidden iPod as I go. The social worker doesn't know I have it nor will she find out.
I walk to the dinning room and grab an apple and some oatmeal. I sit down next to Jade and eat quietly. Jade and I are "friends". She is about the only one except Ms. Jenkins that acknowledges my presence.
I am practically invisible.
Ms. Jenkins comes storming in the room, pulling little Jake by the ear.
"Sit down you filthy rat! Next time get up and I won't have to drag you out of bed!" She turns and looks at everyone else. "Hurry up maggots. You have chores to do!" And with that she storms out.
I quickly finish my breakfast and hand $15 to an older boy named Blaze. The $15 was for the chores I was supposed to do but he would do in my place while I was working.
I run down the stairs, carful not to trip on a random toy. I grab my penny board and run out of the house. If I didn't hurry I would be late for work. I put my earbud in and listen to Shawn Mendes' latest album.

I arrive at Hollister. Meg runs out with her bag in her hand.
"When we get payed, you can have mine. I have to leave. Will you cover for me? If you do, you can have my money."
I nod and she gives me a quick thanks and runs to her car.
I usually got payed about $10 an hour and I worked 5 hour shifts. So that means that today I will get about $100. Two months payments for my iPod and anything else I need.
Today was slow. It was a Wednesday afternoon at about 1:00. School wouldn't be ending for another two hours. My teachers and I worked out a deal that I could come to class when I could and just take online classes. That meant I didn't have to school as long as I did it online. Perfect. It left me time to make vines and do covers of songs.
I have about 50,000 followers on vine and twitter and about the same amount of subscribers on YouTube.
