"She walked into the party, and immediately met his gaze. Yes, this was going to change everything."

Audrey messed with her pen as she zoned out in class. Her parents had encouraged her to go to College, and she thought it 'Couldn't Hurt' Boy was she wrong.

About two weeks in she saw a boy, she found out his name almost immediately, ( She Assumed He Was Well Known, in which she was correct )  His name was Jean. He had small freckles that captured his brown eyes perfectly. His clothes always were perfect, and he seemed like the sweetest guy.

Audrey was interrupted by her pen dropping to the floor, "Damn..,"

She muttered going to pick it up. No, Jean did not pick it up for her, this is not that kind of story.

A few hours later her class was finally over, she exhaled in relief as she put her books away. Audrey didn't have any friends, or she didn't apply herself to make any. She tugged at her black sweater as she left the Class.

Audrey had black hair that was up to her shoulders, her bangs were swept left so they almost covered one of her blue eyes. She preferred to wear black or gray. I know, what a stylish person. She didn't mind though. It's not like she'd get Jean's attention if she dressed differently anyway.

As she reached the courtyard of the dreary campus she tucked a piece of black hair behind her pierced ear. Her gaze landed on Jean for a second before he looked back and Audrey quickly directed her gaze somewhere else, 'Real Smooth' she thought to herself as she walked across the damp road.

When Audrey reached her 'Cozy' apartment she fumbled with her keys for a good few seconds before putting them in her heavy oak door and pushed it open, the smell of fresh laundry flooded her scent as she muttered shutting the door behind her.

She immediately threw her heavy bag down and fell back onto her small couch. Audrey pulled her phone out opening one of her (Many) Social Media apps. She found herself on Jean's amazing profile. (That was no accident) She studied his flawless face for a few moments, then threw her phone onto the coffee table.

"Just freaking talk to him!" Audrey shouted to herself as she hid her face in a gray pillow, "Jesus! Come on Audrey!" She muttered this time in fear her annoying neighbors would hear her.

Audrey knew though, even if she did somehow become friends with Jean, she'd want more. And chance's are he wouldn't. Audrey sat up and reached for her laptop that had been sitting on the couch for countless days, she opened a website and browsed for a bit. Then she saw it, the post that would change her relationship with him for sure, Jean was having a party Friday, today was Wednesday,

"Fun..,"

She muttered closing her laptop. She had one day to prepare. Pick the right clothing, right hairstyle. This was the first time since Middle School she's actually cared about someone's opinion. (Other Then Her Own)

Audrey took a shower, brushed her hair out all that fun girly stuff and climbed into bed. She just had to make it through her classes. She was going to go to the party, talk to Jean, it would all end like how she imagined.

"Take It Easy" (Part Two)

"Audrey's lips were parted ever so slightly, enough to distract Jean from his conversation. Enough to catch him staring at her."

Believe it or not, Audrey made it through Thursday, today was Friday the day of the party. She had picked out a short, (And Rather Tight) black dress for the party. Audrey felt her eyes light up when Jean waved at her with a half smile. Things were actually, okay.

As soon as classes ended she rushed off campus to her messy apartment, she slammed her oak door open causing Audrey's black hair to cover her vision, she closed the door and nearly sprinted to her room getting dressed. When she finished she looked at herself, Audrey sighed in disappointment. 'I can do better' she thought as she left her apartment.

Audrey took a cab that smelt of vomit and drugs, the Cab driver kept trying to start conversation, driving her crazy. Eventually she pretended to have a conversation on her phone, (I know, So Amazing.) When she reached Jean's house she felt her confidence shrink. There were so many people, and she didn't even know one of them.

"Lord have mercy on you girl,"

The cab driver chuckled when he saw her expression. Audrey only nodded as she paid him and left the Cab.

She walked into the house over a few steps, (They proved to be no obstacle) Audrey's lips were parted ever so slightly, enough to distract Jean from his conversation. Enough for her to catch him staring. Her eyes widened as she looked down.

Jean chuckled walking over to the small girl, "Hey.., Audrey, right?" He asked with a small smile. Audrey looked up at him and smiled tucking a piece of hair behind her ear,

"Yeah.. I may have came without invitation," She gave a weak laugh, as Jean studied her face.

"That's okay, It'll be our little secret," He smiled as he glanced behind him, "Hey.. Wanna come hang out with me and my friends? They're knuckle heads but you'll get past that once you get to know them," Jean chuckled, and Audrey smiled when she heard it over the loud music.

"O-Of course! I mean I have nothing better to do," She said, mentally cursing herself. Jean took her fragile hand in his as he led her through the (Mostly) intoxicated crowd. Audrey's head was running wild with thought, 'Everything is.. Perfect' she thought as they reached the group.

About halfway through the night she had gotten pinned in a corner by one of Jean's 'Friend's' Audrey cringed as his hot breath reached her neck, "G-Get off!" She shouted trying to push him off. The boy only pushed her down harder.

"Take It easy twitch..," A voice said as two muscular hands pulled the man off. Of course, it was Jean. (Maybe This Is One Of Those Stories-)

Audrey exhaled as she inhaled air that didn't smell of alcohol, for the most part anyways. She watched as Jean escorted the boy out, along with the other guests.

She went to leave but Jean stopped her, "I hate to ask this.. But can you help me with cleaning up?" He asked rubbing the back of his head, nervously. Audrey gave a weak and tired smile as she nodded.  About ten minutes after starting Jean smiled,

"I'll be right back, don't go anywhere," He said it in a joking manner, yet his expression seemed serious. Audrey nodded with a yawn.

As soon as he left Audrey's attention fell on a door to the basement. Her emotions got the best of her as she slowly made her way to the dark aura of the basement. She opened the door as she prayed it wouldn't creek. (It didn't) Audrey slowly made her way down the thin metal steps, a foul odor clouding her from clear thinking. As she reached the bottom of the steps there was just enough light to see a girl. She had chains on her arms and a horribly broken, bruised and beaten ankle. Her eyes widened as she took a step back.

Unaware of the man approaching with a bat over his shoulder. He swung, hitting Audrey in the back she felt to the floor with a small shout of pain as her eyes fluttered open and closed. She forced them open as she felt the pain rushing through her body.

Audrey flipped over wincing slightly as she crawled backwards towards the wall, for support. Her horrified gaze met Jean's only, he wasn't scared, or upset. He had a wicked grin as he dropped the bat, approaching her.
