Chapter 5

Dane waved at me and smiled a little when we have reached his floor. "Take care queen," I smirked and waved too. The elevator door closed and it rose 'till 10th. I pulled out my keys from my pocket and slid the key in. It was dark inside and Ashton isn't here yet.

I glanced at his side table where a clock was sitting. 10:45 pm. It's almost eleven and he's still not here? I looked for my phone but I can't find it anywhere! The last time I used it was back at the house... Did I forget it?

After a glass of water, I went to bed. But the moon is just so bright! It was peeking in the slit of the curtains. I glanced at his side table and it's midnight already! Where the hell is he? Is there a club here? Or some gangster business? But Dane was at the treehouse.

I froze when the door clicked and unlocks. He's here now? I tried not to move and pretended to sleep. What am I gonna tell him when he finds out that I'm still awake? I did not wait for him! The moon was so bright.

I heard him breathing because the room was so quiet. It was like he was tired? It was long and heard. He smells like cigarettes mixed with his body scent.

I bit my lip and tried hard to sleep. It was slow but luckily my mind started to blur and fell into a deep slumber. I woke up with a uniform on my bed. And on cue, Ashton went out with his on.

He was wearing white long sleeves with a loose red checkered necktie. His black slacks also fitted him well. His hair was brushed up and his eyes were looking at me.

"You're not late, I have to do something. Your other uniforms are still being washed because it was just made yesterday." I didn't have the time to respond when he hurriedly wore his outer jacket and left.

I glanced at mine and it was like any other private school uniform. White long sleeves and a red checkered tie. The short skirt had the same pattern as the tie. It also had an outer jacket but it was cut short up at the upper back.

I took a shower and changed into my uniform. The given heels disgusted me so I wore red heels and paired it with my black mesh fishnet stockings. I brought my cream handbag and the tablet.

I walked to class with confidence. Every boy and girl that turned to me just made me smirk! I turned to my classroom and went in. I smirked at my classmates, but maybe I looked too scarily gorgeous that they hurriedly turned around.

I made a good impression with the teachers by listening to them well. This is just a faded rainbow before a war! I chuckled to my self. I felt that someone has been looking at me since I came inside so I looked at him.

"What?"

"You're different today! What's making you happy?" I raised an eyebrow at Dane.

"I'm not happy. I'm many characters, Dane. Get used to it." I said and just didn't mind him.

I wanted to pretend to listen but they are just so much full of bull crap. I crossed my legs with the right one on top and after a few minutes, I switched to my left leg being on top. I'm so bored!

I looked at Dane and he was texting! How dare he! I was being a good girl for the sake of infuriating my professors tomorrow! I can't stand it anymore. I opened my bag and opened a lollipop. Just after putting it in my mouth, Dane's hand spreads in front of me. I rolled my eyes and gave him one.

Lunch came and we ordered together. Like yesterday, the line faded away, and instantly we were the ones on the counter ordering. Dane ordered a lot and it just made my stomach upset. He can finish all that?

"How about you Maam Kylee?" I turned to the girl and ordered lasagna and half of the chocolate cake.

"Mae," Dane called, and instantly she appeared and received my tray.

"Did something happened last night?" Dane asked when we're on the elevator. I turned to him.

"What? Nothing happened, I just slept."

"You're just different today! Are you planning something..." I just smirked and didn't answer him.

A few meters from our table, I turned to Mae and got my tray. And as I turned around, Oliver kissed the side of my lips. I looked at him as if I was barbecuing his face. I pushed him aside and my heart skipped a beat when I saw Kenneth. I forgot he's one of their gang! Damn

"Hey,"

"Hi, Kylee." Kenneth greeted and kissed my forehead because he was too tall even though I was wearing my heels.

I didn't even bother to look at Ace because he never kisses or greets me whenever we meet. We ate without waiting for Ashton that was new to me. He was here yesterday and now he isn't? What is he doing?

Dane and I went back to our last class and it went smoothly 'till it was time for dinner. Dane offered to eat with me because Ace was disappearing on him. I just laughed at him and called him a nosy girlfriend.

"We're roommates and forever bound to be together! We're never getting out of here and we were inseparable since kindergarten!" I just chuckled. He's so much funnier when he's like this. I'm so entertained!

"Let him go, Dane! Acellion... He's like a cat that's often curious at night." He pouted and I just pushed him because he's slowing us down. I'm hungry!

After eating dinner, I suggested we go to his treehouse. I like the view here. It's so peaceful and enchanting. He looked for a match and lit a lamp on the floor. He brought it to the open balcony.

"Can you sing a song for me?" He was hesitant but after a few minutes, he pulled his guitar and strummed and tuned it.

"Take a breath girl, I'm right here." He started strumming that amazed me. Who knew that with a piece of wood, it could turn to this beautiful melody?

"Don't rush things out. It will only hurt you, oh."

"Take a breath and hold my hand." He offered his hand but I smirked and pushed it away. He pouted and strums without singing. Until his strokes slowly faded away. He stood up and placed down his guitar then handed his hand to me.

"Ash should be back." I ignored his hand. He'll be there? What a joke. He's avoiding me. Because I stole his room and bed? Or maybe he doesn't like having a girl as a roommate. I stayed seated and enjoyed the beautiful panorama I'm creating. It's the second time I'm seeing this and I just can't get enough of it! Tonight, there are more stars than usual and the moon was a little warm-toned.

"Come on, Kaycee." I rolled my eyes and pushed his hand away and walked by myself. When I reached the dormitory building, I took a breath. Why is my heart like this? Why is it thumping crazy like a mad man? Should I take pills again?

I slid the key into the keyhole and pushed the door open. The tall silhouette beside the side table turned to me. He raised an eyebrow and took a peak on his wristwatch.

"Why are you still out this late?" I am scorned just by looking at him.

"None of your business."
