It was the same dream. The same dream that i've been dreaming for past nights. The same familiar tall trees, the same birds that chirping through the warm day, the sun casting a soft glow behind the trees, me, wearing a short white dress that the wind blow gently upon my legs, slowly admiring the trees, feeling the leaves as i pass by it.

I had no shoes and i walked barefoot, the grass grazing softly against the back of my feet, feeling that tickling sensation. It seems so peaceful, this place, no one else is there except for myself. I can't help but to throw myself onto the soft fresh grass and lay there, eyes looking upwards at the blue sky, breathing in the fresh wood scent.

The melodic chirp of the birds soothes my ears and eventually, my eyes slowly started to droop and close when suddenly i heard the slight sound of grass crunching like a person's footsteps. I opened my eyes and quickly scanned my surroundings. There was no one there. Weird. I thought i heard something. Well, probably its just the sound of the wind blowing the leaves. I lay back down again.

And then i heard it again. The same sound, the same footsteps, the sound of grass crunching. But now, it was louder. It felt like it was coming nearer to me. I quickly stood up and scan the area. And then i saw him. It was quite a distance but i could make his broad tall figure, with short thick wavy dark kind of hair, dressing in plain shirt with white jeans, slowly coming towards me.

At this time, you would probably think of running away from him, as he can be a potential serial killer or a creepy stalker. But, it seems that my body was unable to move, like it was in a paralysed mode. All of the time, my eyes just focused on him and not anything else. He was coming closer, a few feet away from me, and i could make his face, the type of face you wouldn't want to look away from, the type of face that makes your heart skipped a beat.

From his fair complexion, chiseled face, with warm hazel eyes that gives off a gentle look to a stubble beard that topped of with a grin. I can smell his earthly scent, the mix of wood and mint, as he approached towards me. As he was in front of me, i clearly see that he has that build body with veins protruding from his arms. I am so not gonna wake up from this dream.

As he was about to speak, reality sets me in as my ringing alarm sets off. The dream fades out and eventually, him too. The whole situation change and i wake up from the strange dream to my reality yet boring life.

"ANNABELLE! FOR GOD'S SAKE COULD YOU PLEASE TURN OFF YOUR GODDAMN ALARM!"

Auntie Mary. Her voice could not be any louder on every morning. Perhaps, i should just mute my alarm and just sleep all day without going to school. I think i prefer that way.

"Annabelle! Aren't you late? I thought you are having school today?" Auntie Mary shouted from the kitchen, the familiar sound of spoon clattering against the mug, probably her favourite english mug she had bought when we went for a trip in England.

"No...i don't have any schools today, aunt" i replied lazily, still in bed.

"Well, you better be saying the truth, i'm not going to your school to meet with your teachers explaining about your sudden disappearance in school. If that happens, i'm going to cut down your expenses," she blabbered. The sharp sound of the toaster clicked and the smell of fresh toast filled the air. My stomach grumbled as i smell the fresh toast. I kind of need a breakfast now, but i'm still thinking about that dream i had before. What was it all about? And who was that guy in my dreams? I pushed the thoughts away, the unanswered questions and get ready for breakfast.

After all, it was just a dream, wasn't it?
