Chapter 47:
Perrie's POV:
I put a rose on Bertha's grave. I had done my share of crying, now I just missed her. The only thing worrying me right now was Zayn. Where was he and why was he not here?
"It's sad Zayn couldn't make it.", a woman behind me murmured.
"He's probably very busy.", another person said.
"But how can you miss your grandma's funeral? He can't be that busy."
"True. Famous people huh..."
"Famous people"? Nothing was making sense. I spotted Waliyah coming to stand opposite me and next to Tricia who was not even showing any sign of remorse but it was obvious she had cried before coming. She had given me a cold welcome but I couldn't care less, I just wanted to see Zayn and make sure he was al right but he wasn't even here.
"Where is Zayn?" I asked Selena.
"How should I know. He's probably out of the UK for all I know."
"Out of the UK? Why would he be out -
"I am so glad you could make it Perrie. She would have wanted you here." Waliyah said.
"Waliyah, where is Zayn?"
"He won't come..."
"Why not?"
"You don't know?" Waliyah asked, stunned.
"No. She doesn't know." Selena replied.
"What don't I know?"
Waliyah exchanged looks with Selena that I did not quite understand. What the hell was going on?
"Perrie, surely you've heard of One Direction?"
"No..."
"You haven't? ...Well I am not sure if I should tell you."
"I have no idea what you are talking about?"
"One Direction is a boy band and Zayn's in it okay. That's why he couldn't make it because he's probably in the states or somewhere." Selena said as fast as she could.
"Boy band? What! But -
"Yes he moved on. Do you see what we have been trying to tell you for the past -
"Zayn did not leave her, he did this all for her." Waliyah said, a bit angrily.
"Perrie, please go get Zayn. Bertha would want both of you here. I tried but he refused. He'll listen to you I am sure." Wailyah pleaded.
"Where is he?"
"In Bertha's house."

Zayn's POV:
I sat silently in grandma's chair, the smell of her scented perfume was still as strong as ever. There was a framed picture of Perrie and her from the wedding, both looked so happy and beautiful. I wondered if Perrie went to the funeral? I hope she did.
Someone walked closer, behind me. I expected to hear the sound of her heels but none came. I caught the reflection of her blond hair on the glass frame, her big eyes widened a little as she came closer. Probably wondering why I was here and not there or just overwhelmed to see me like I was to see her. Did she still love me?
"Perrie... Do you still love me?"
"Might as well have asked do you still breath Perrie?", she replied. I laughed a little at her answer but inside I was crying. Why did she love me this much?
