"Can you tell me about her again?" The little girl asked, laying in the tiny cot and pulling the covers to her small chin.

"Alright," he sighed, sitting on the edge, hand moving to pay her back. "She was strong. And smart. She loved me to the end of time and back. She was the bravest girl I knew." He smiled, clutching the necklace around his neck.

"And she knew mommy?" The girl's eyes widened.

"Yes, she knew your mother. I'm sorry I don't know more about her." His whispered into the dark, trying to comfort her.

The bed creaked as more weight was added to it.

"Samson!" The girl squeled, pulling the black dog closer. He sniffed her hand and licked her face, much to her delight.

"Dad?" She said, in a quieter tone.

"Yes?" He replied.

"When will it be safe to go back home?"

"I don't know Sunshine, I don't know." His smile faded.

"Will you help them get us back?"

"Of course." He said, even though he knew they wouldn't accept people like him. Self conciously, he reached to the blue blindfold that covered his eyes.

"Okay," She said, her breathing slowed to a more normal place, content with his answer.

"Good night sweat heart." He leaned down, kissing her on the forehead. The bed moaned again as he stood.

She was asleep by the time he closed the door.

"She's asleep already?" Another man muttered next to Robin.

"Geez, you scared me," he laughed. "But yes, she's asleep."

"You told her we'd get back home?" He asked, scratching his head.

"What's wrong with a little hope?" Robin muttered defensively.

"Nothing. But kid," the older man sighed. "We're not ever getting back home."

And with that, I Pledge My Love's first draft was written. Thwn, all my friends hated me for literally killing everyone except for three people. In my defense, well, I um... Let's just say I like killing people. Book people, I mean. Yes. Book, fake people only. Yes.
