"Mia! Get up! We are going to MoonHaven Ridge camp today! C'mon! The bus picks us up in half an hour!" I open the door and see my sister. "Jeez, Rinah. I've been ready for over an hour." I pick up my bag and close my bedroom door. We both walk down the stairs and put my bag down by the door. "Morning girls." I smirk. "Morning dad." He hugs us both and we sit at the kitchen island. "Are you girls excited for your first day at camp?" Rinah squirms in her chair. "Omg! I am!" I shrug. "Yeah. I guess so." Dad looks at me. "Look, it's only temporary. When I come back from my business trip, you get to come home. Okay?" I nod and get up. "Did you pack yet, Rinah?" She almost coughs up her breakfast. "Oh no! I forgot!" I have been a cold stare. "Well, you better hurry. We only have ten minutes." She gets up and bolts up the stairs. I sigh. Why does she do everything at the last minute?
She comes down with 4 bags. "Ready!" I sigh and I hug dad. "Be safe kitten." I nod and the bus pulls up and honks the horn. We say our goodbyes to dad and get on the bus. As we pull off I see dad getting into his car. I turn in my seat and sigh. "This is gonna be so much fun!" She starts bouncing. I slap her in the arm. ''Knock it off, Rinah." She rubs her arm. "I'm just really excited." I laugh slightly. "Yeah. I noticed." I close my eyes and enjoy the ride.
We arrive at the camp and everyone gets off the bus. A lady with jet black hair smiles at us. "Welcome to MoonHaven Ridge." She continues speaking while putting her hair into a bun. "This year, our camp is holding the ShadowGames." We all start whispering to each other but she keeps talking. "The ShadowGames consists of 4 parts. Swimming, archery, a scavenger hunt and capture the flag. So good luck. Your cabin numbers are on this sheet." She leaves and Rinah checks our cabin number. She comes back excited. "Looks like we share a cabin with two other girls." I shrug and pick up my bag. "Let's go, Rinah." We walk to cabin number four and walk in. Two girls greet us warmly. A girl with long blonde hair grins. "Hi! I'm Nikki. And this is Sarah. You must be Mia and Rinah Winters." I nod and give her a small wave. "I'm Mia." I jerk my thumb towards my sister. "This is Rinah." Rinah waves to them. Sarah gives us a smile. "Our rooms have been labeled. You go unpack before the welcome campfire." I thank her and I head to my room. It's nice and dark. The way I like it. I unpack everything and head out to the main room where everyone is staring out the window. "What's going on?" Sarah looks over at me. "The boys are throwing eggs at the cabin again." I shake my head in confusion. "Wait what?" I walk over to the window and lean against it. "Why?" Sarah scoffs. "That's what they do. They do it every single year." I sigh and move away from the window. "Hold on a second. I'll be on the roof." They all look at me in confusion. I hold up my finger and walk to my room to get my bow and a few arrows. I head up to the roof and aim. I shoot and one arrow falls right next to a guy with blonde hair. He exclaims. "What the fuck?" I yell down the them. "There is more where that came from!" They all look up and see me with another arrow ready. "Leave now or I'll shoot again!" A guy with dark brown hair looks up at me and I felt something swirl in my stomach I shake it off and shoot again. This time, they take off and drop the egg cartons. I climb down off the roof and the girls are smirking and giggling. "What?" Nikki speaks up. "You should compete in the archery part of the games. You have great aim." I think for a moment. "Alright. I'll do it!" We all do a group hug and I throw my bow into the cabin and we head to the campfire.
