The day consisted of pretty much just me and Tyrone watching TV. There was a small portion of the day where I took a nap on him, but that didn't last very long.

Shortly after 7 P.M. he got a phone call and said that he had to leave right after that. I wanted him to stay, but I didn't ask because I had no claim to his time whatsoever. I was just happy that we had a chance to spend as much time together as we had. Regardless of if the snow had forced him to stay or not, I was still happy that he had.

I helped him put his coat back on and he slipped into his boots.

" am i working tomorrow?"

He shrugged. " I don't know. Let's see what this snow looks like tomorrow. Plus I have to find a new supplier before we really do anything."

" about that-" I said slowly. Underneath his watchful gaze, I felt nervous. " I'm sorry about what happened between Teddy and I. It was just-"

" you don't have to apologize."

" but-"

He raised his eyebrows, giving me a look that cut me off. " I said you don't have to apologize. I'm gone always be on your side." When I didn't respond, he took that as his cue to leave. " I'll call you in the morning and let you know what's up. Be ready just in case."

I agreed and he left. Moments after, I was sitting on the couch staring at his empty coffee cup- one that had been filled many times through out the day. The day hadn't even felt real. Infact, I would have sworn it was all a dream if not for the cup.

I breathed in deeply, exhaling as I caught a whiff of his cologne still lingering in the air.

"damn, does that man smell good." I said, shivering slightly at just the thought of him.

The ringing of my cell phone cut through my thoughts. I grabbed the phone off of the edge of the couch.

" hello?" I answered.

" can you come up here and keep me company?" Symonee asked. " Dryan is leaving and I don't trust this fucking nurse they keep putting in here with me."

I laughed. " why are you being so paranoid?"

" because I don't trust these bitches with my princess, so, get off your ass and come here. I know your ass ain't work today so don't even try and use that excuse."

I sighed. " fine, bitch, I'm coming. Even though I hate driving in the snow I'll do it because I love you."

"thank you. Can you bring me some taco bell, too, please?"

" yes! Don't ask for anything else, either." I hung up the phone before she could respond, going to put on my coat and my shoes before leaving the house.

The snow outside had stopped for what looked like the first time all day. I could clearly see paths that people had attempted to shovel out, but they were mostly snowed over. I wondered what the hell had caused so much snow to fall in March.

By the time I got to the hospital, tacos in hand, I was close to a fucking panic attack. Not once, but twice, my car had decided to slide across the icy roads like it was auditioning for Disney on ice. There was absolutely no way I was driving myself back home.

When I got upstairs and barged into her hospital room, Symonee was lounging in her hospital bed, looking like she'd just stepped out of a magazine. Her hair was perfect, her eyes were bright, and she had the biggest smile on her face.

" tacos!" She screeched, grabbing the food bag from my hands like a starving woman. I watched her rip through the plastic bag, and then the paper, before tearing into each taco like it was her last.
