Ten.
Dropping the guard on the railing of the complex I caught him, tossing him to the side out of the light to avoid sound. The night was incredibly dark but I'd spent enough time out here in the dark, adjusting to the pale Moonlight. The completely open ceiling of the complex meant that I would be able to see perfectly even in the dim light. Hopping up I ran across the walkway overlooking the side of the building. I grabbed the back of another guard's head, crushing it with a satisfying crack and squish. He quickly fell, blood coming from his ears, eyes, and nose. Throwing him him down with the other body I continued on, my handgun held tightly at my side.
Nine. Eight.
Two more bodies dropped once I was inside the complex. Shoving them aside with a swift kick I kept going, stopping suddenly as I found the guards starting to notice the subtle noise my personal high tech silencer made. I heard a few guards mumble things to eachother slightly confused, asking each other what the sound could have been in their native tongue of Russian. I heard a couple guards coming up the stairs. Jumping up I placed a foot in each side of the wall near the ceiling, firmly holding me in place as I looked down waiting for the unsuspecting guards to pass underneath. Didn't want to alert the target with unessesary noise.
Seven.
Dropping down on top of one of the guards I quickly snapped his neck with one hand, shooting the other before he was alerted to my presence. Checking their faces I saw neither was the security captain. Oh well, I'd figured it wasn't going to be this easy. Dropping onto the rail of the stairway I slid down into the room underneath.
Six five four three.
Moving among the four freshly made corpses I saw that none of them were the security captain. Sighing I walked away to check the rest of the compound in my search for him. The alarm still hadn't been set off yet so my target was most likely still sound asleep, or at the very least calm and not alert.
Suddenly I was tackled into a wall, my weapon falling out of my hand. I felt the man pin me to the ground. I saw a bear of a man on top of me, his massive arms keeping me down. His breath reeked of Vodka as he spoke, his accent bleeding heavily into his words.
"I'll kill you you insignificant englishman."
Smashing my forehead into his he moved back his eyes rolling into his head as I brought my foot up to toss him off of me. I kicked too hard though and he flew across the room
"Should have said sound the alarm. Also, I am American. Facts are important bub.
Snapping his neck for good measure I recovered my weapon, heading further down into the complex. Putting it into its holster I took off, moving quickly, sneaking through and killing every man as quietly as possible.
Ducking under a hole in the wall I came into a new room filled with more guards. Quickly I slid behind a desk to avoid detection. I counted four guards, two were joking each other in the corner while the other two were sitting around a heater trying to warm up. Sneaking ahead I grabbed both of the men, crushing their heads by simply closing my hands as thunder crashed outside masking the sound.
Grabbing the heater I dashed forward tossing it at one of the men's head before smashing the other into the wall. Instantly I recognized the security chief from my files on the case. Grabbing his jaw I ripped it off, simultaneously smashing his voice box cutting off all his noises. Dragging him as he squirmed weakly, the pain nearly made him pass out but he held on barely to the last vestiges of consciousness.
Getting back to the elevator I put his face to the scanner, once it classified it as him I threw him across the room where I heard his head crack open and blood spewed across the wall. That might have been harder than I thought it was. Riding the elevator down I straightened my blood splattered tuxedo and tie. Always let it hang open, I hated the buttons. I always said I'd do these cleaner but I always needed to get up close and personal to do my assignments efficiently. Who could help it?
Ding.
The elevator door opened showing my target sitting in the recliner reading a large book.
"Abram, I didn't think you'd finish your rounds so quickly. You usually take more than half an hour while you talk to the men."
Two. One.
The man's body guard finally noticed that it wasn't the captain and he leapt to his feet pulling his pistol, but I was a quicker draw. The second guard ran from the other room once the first guard dropped, but he was taken care of just as easily.
"Ah. An Assassin..." He said looking up at me, "Can't say I'm all surprised. You're not the first to make it this far."
"I will be the last, it's hard to get this far if this entire site is leveled and burned to the ground. Which is exactly what I'm going to do immediately after killing you."
"And you're telling me this why?"
"Because I have the ease of mind knowing I have eternity. You're in my sights now. There is no way to lose you."
Instantly I was across the room, putting a hole in the bookshelf. The chair had opened to reveal a cannon of considerable size. Any normal man would have been in pieces.
"How... How are you still in one piece?!"
Standing up out of the rubble I brushed myself off before grabbing my weapon from the debris. Another shot fired off but I brushed it off this time with a bit of preparation.
The target stood up trying to run but I simply jumped forward, quickly making it to the door way of the exit, causing him to rear back and fall. Taking a few steps forward I stated him down.
"What are you?! How did you shake off that shot?" he said, a terrified expression on his face.
I crouched staring him in the eyes, "I'm Relentless."
Holding up my gun I pulled the trigger.
Zero.
