For once, I woke up, with no one else in the room. It was completely dark, and I could only see the outlines of the fire station and fire truck. I stared into the darkness. I couldn't tell Gavin where the safe haven was, no matter what he did, to me, or to Yuno.

If I could hold on just long enough until Taryn could get me out of here... Then he walked in. Him.

"Hello there, Phoenix," god I hated him, "I think by now you know exactly what I'm going to say, if I haven't already burned the question into you."

"You wanna know where the safe haven is" I said.

"Ah! So today you're talking! Good, good. So now you know what my next question will be and you can answer it correctly. Where is the safe haven" Gavin asked.

"Like I'd tell you, after all of this." I spat at him.

"Well, I give you a chance at least..." Then he smirked, "But not a very big one."

"You're sick."

"No, I'm actually quite healthy despite having lived off of canned tuna for the last 3 years."

"Now... Vince?" He added. A figure all too familiar to me came out of the shadows. Oddly enough, Vincent always seemed familiar to me, in some way. I can never figure out why though...

He had his knife, like always, and he strutted behind my chair, so I couldn't see him. "Phoenix, do you really want to go through another round of this?"

"No. Of course not."

"Then tell me where it is. Save yourself some misery."

"Never."

"Well, then I have no choice." I heard Vince pull back his knife but....

"Gavin! Gavin!" Scott busted into the room, and Vince stopped. And so did Scott.

"Uhhh... am I uh... interrupting something here..." Scott said.

"You timing is impeccable, as always, Scott," He said, throwing his hands up.

"I can leave..."

"No! No! You're here now, what is this ever so urgent matter?!"

"Her group, they... Come see." Scott said.

"What?!?! What's going on with Yuno?!" I yelled

"Shush Phoenix!" Gavin yelled at me, and I stopped, "I'm putting this on hold, Vince come ere' Let's go see." Vince came from behind me, and walked out with Gavin and Scott. And once again, I was alone.

I sat there for maybe a minute when- "Phoenix?!" It was Taryn.

"Taryn! What's going o-"

"Shhh! We have no time we have to go before they catch us!" She kneeled down and started undoing my knots.

"What? I mean good, but-"

"Yuno? You're wondering about her. Don't worry nothing's going on, Scoot set it up for us." I was untied. It was all so fast. I stood up, I hadn't done that in days, and I actually fell over. She helped me up though.

"Scott, he was on our side this whole time?" I asked, surprised.

She smiled, "You couldn't tell? Oh that doesn't matter now, let's go." I ran behind her. We went out the door that they'd been coming in through, and instead of going right like I had with Taryn originally, we went left down a long hallway.

"Ok we have to hurry. If they-" she started.

"Scott, that was the stupidest thing ever, ugh I'd kill you if you weren't so useful. Now go, I can't deal with you right now, I have other things to attend to, or rather, other people to attend to. Feel free to leave now." Gavin was at the other end of the hallway. Heading towards the door to my room.

"Oh no, oh no. Here, hide in here." Taryn said as she rushed me into a room in the hallway. The room we went into was dark, very dark. I could see outlines of weird shapes on the wall.

"Uhh... Taryn where are we?" I whispered.

"This is.... Vincent's room." I mouthed an 'ohh' with my lips. I didn't want to know what those shapes on the wall were at all anymore.

"Wait, how come Vincent gets a room?"

"He has a lot of stuff, and he needs it more than Gavin, he used to share it with his brother Will, but he uhh... died." she said, "Shhh, someone's coming."

We were silent and the door creaked open. "Uhh... guys?" It was Scott.

"Scott, thank god!" she said, relieved.

"Phoenix, you need to go before he realizes-"

"Phoenix! Where are you?!" Gavin yelled.

"We need to hurry, now." Taryn said, and we sprinted through the hall.

"You can't run! I'll catch you before you even take a step outside!"

We got outside, "There!" Taryn pointed at an RV in the parking lot. We ran for it, and she got in the driver's seat.

She kicked the gas, just as Gavin burst through the doors, "You're gonna regret this!" He ran at the car.

"Taryn, Go!" I broke through a metal fence surrounding the station, and we were off.

Once we were a safe distance away, I looked back at the station. "Ta ta, Gavin."
