Janine POV

On friday, I walked into school with a happy smile on. Tonight was my first "date" with Greg! I knew we were going to a party, but that still counts as a date... Right?

As I opened my locker, something amazing stood in front of me. A bouquet of white roses, my favorite, stood in my locker. They were wrapped in pink tissue paper and had a white ribboned tied around them. I picked them up and took a sniff.

Ahh! My favorite! I noticed something white sticking out of my wonderful bouquet. I grabbed the small envelope and opened it.

Dear Janine,

I'm looking forward to tonight. Pick you up at 8?

-Greg

AWWWWW! This made me soooooo much more excited, I practically screamed. I was going on a date with the sweetest boy EVER!!!

When the bell rang, I practically stuffed the flowers back in my locker and ran to home room.

I was kind of nervous for home room, because Greg was in that class. When he walked in, he flashed me a huge smile and sat down. I really hoped he would pay attention to me at the party.

The day passed by very slowly, as if the clock stopped working. I ran to my car as soon as the last bell rang. I took a long bath, shaving my legs and conditioning my hair. I blow dried my hair, ate a quick snack, and layed on my bed. I still had 2 more hours, and I couldn't wait. I turned on my radio and checked my phone.

From: Greg

Hey, 8 still sound good?

To: Greg

Sure! :)

I turned on my bedside radio, then looked at my closet. I rummaged through clothes before finally settling on my tight Gucci dress and black heels. I packed my black flats in my purse and attempted a winged eyeliner. At 7:45 I pranced downstairs. I sat and waited for what seemed like forever, tapping my foot on the floor. At 8:05, the door bell rang. I jumped up, but decided to be cool and wait a few seconds before answering the door.

"Hey Janine." Greg said with his perfectly crooked smile. He handed me a bought of white roses, and kissed my cheek. I could not help but blush like an idiot. We walked to his car hand in hand, and he opened the door for me. We sat in silence until we reached the house. I opened the front door, smelling alcohol and sweat. Greg took my coat and went towards a closet, while I grabbed a drink.

"Janine?" Someone shouted, tapping my shoulder.

I turned to find John, the host of the party.

"Hey... Um John. What's up?" I questioned.

He held up his beer and slurringly shouted "TO KIDNAPPERS". He clanked his beer against mine and turned to another friend.

I was the charity case. The only one honest enough to admit it was the drunk guy. No one wanted to hang out with me or they would catch my depression. I couldn't stay here any longer. I looked around for my coat, and found it in a closet. I grabbed Greg from the makeshift bar and told him I was leaving. He stopped and looked me dead in the eye.

"I want you here. I NEED you here. Please don't go." He gave me a pleading look.

"People don't want me here. They feel bad for me and I'm the party pooper. I really don't want to ruin your fun time. I know what their all thinking. 'Look at that poor girl, her friend got kidnapped.' Or 'too bad it wasn't her. We liked Stevie better.' I just can't stand to be here anymore. I'm sorry" I kissed his cheek and turned around. Everyone was frozen, staring at me. Some girl was even crying.

"Oh, shit!" I cursed. I grabbed my purse and ran out of the party. I called a cab and waited outside for it to show up. Greg sat next to me the whole time.

"You know, your really brave." Greg suddenly announced. "Your brave, and smart, and funny," He grabbed my face in both of his hands. "And beautiful." Greg gave me a look I've never seen before. His eyes were watery and his eyebrows rose higher than usual. Before I knew it, his lips were on mine. Our mouths matched perfectly, and our breaths did too. We kissed at the same pace for a while, before a headlight broke us up.

I flashed him a smile and headed to the cab. I guess the night wasn't so bad after all.

So I'm going to try to update every Sunday, hopefully, and maybe finally finish this story. I know I left at a bad spot, and didn't write a chapter, but i really like writing about Janine and Greg.

Comment any ideas or theories?
