My eyes shot open and I instantly felt intense pressure in my chest, like a shock. I sat up onto my elbows and looked around. All my eyes saw was and endless dessert of red rock and angry crows. A single tear streamed down my face, for a reason i didnt know. i felt alone and empty. As if life was draining out of me the very second. where was I? This question remained in my head until a sign appeared in front of me. Hello and welcome to, the place of fate, what is your fate? It's up to you to decide! I stared at the sign blankly. The place of fate? Why was I here? Feeling lost I took a few steps forward. focusing harder on my surroundings, i desprately searched for something familier, possibly i  could remember something here. but that was the problem, i couldnt rembember anything. Squinting far into the distance, I discovered there was a town of some sort up ahead. I guess thats where the place of fate was, what else could it be.

Continuing my small wabbly steps, I noticed that there was a small trail of ants. all of them in a quick motion heading the other direction, away from the place of fate. could it be that this wasn't a good place? my mind argued on whether to turn around or not as my feet just kept going without me, to the town.

At last I had reached the town, sweat dripping of my chin in the uncomfortable weather. I took my focus away from that and discovered that quite a lot of people were packed in this place. I felt out of place, I shouldn't be here, my brain yelled. I felt like running. intense stares all around me shot daggers in the back of the head. but I knew that there was nowhere to run, no place to go.

"are u just gonna stand there looking stupid? " a voice next to me whispered. I jumped. looking down I saw a little girl not even the age of 8 stared up at me. she had short dark hair up to her shoulders,  beautiful blue eyes, and a curious look on her face. what did she mean? what was I supposed to do? just then another voice spoke in front of me.

" Danya Fray. welcome, we've been expecting you." a mature woman said.

" I prefer danny." I announced quietly.  wait a second. I just remembered my own name! when I arrived here I hadn't even remebered who I was, I felt like I was a step closer to knowing myself. the lady nodded and scribbled sonething on a notepad.

"this way please, beani come along as well." she said. beani? the little girl next to me started walking with the lady, I followed knowing that the girls name must be beani.

after a bit of walking we stopped infront of a 3-story building with only a few windows.

" ok, so as I told beani, u two will be roommates here in 209 on the 2nd floor. beani will show you around and get you settled, ill check in on you later.the lady said turning her back and walking away. beani gently grabbed my hand and led me to the building. once getting to our room, we walked in and she locked the door in a quick motion. confused about every single thing that was happening,  I stared at beani waiting for answers. beani stared at the floor, but I couldn't see her face.

" I'm so confused.... is it ok to ask what's going on?" I asked Beani.

" you have the right to know... so ill explain, only of what I know." Beani sighed a shakey breath and i nodded for her to continue.

" well.... apparently, if a person is on their way to death.... they.... they come here," tears welled in her eyes and i squeezed her hand gently. " its horrible, danny! they come here not even remebering their own excistence and thats why people die danny! they continue on living here not even knowing what they just  l-lost." Her legs wabbled and she almost fell over, me catching her.  i thought of what she said. i might be dieing right this very second and... i didnt know what to do. tears endlessly streamed down my face and Beani and i cried together in the comfort of eachother. in the end it was late and Beani asked if i could sleep with her that night. before drifting of to sleep i heard Beani mumble something i could barely hear, "Theres no place like heaven to count on when you die....  youre forever here.." she sniffled and i figured she fell asleep by the time i got out of my daze. There was no heaven. This wasnt home. I had to get home... but not one idea would be comeing to me for the time being, i needed sleep.
