"Lila, Eco are you two almost done? We've been here for about four hours already," I sighed, frustrated and bored.

"Hold up, Ever," Eco interjected. "Beauty takes time."

I looked at Lila through the mirror. She didn't even have to look up to know I was looking her way in hopes she'd contradict Eco's statement.

"Don't look at me Sully because you know I agree with Eco. After all, I am a makeup artist." She flipped her hair behind her shoulder shooting me wink.

"Ugh," I huffed out, slumping in my seat.

Twenty minutes later, I was ready to leave the makeup room and change into my outfit that Eco had picked out for me tonight.

"I can't wait for tonight," Eco squealed out in excitement. "I'm finally seeing you perform in person."

"You saw me perform in person during tryouts," I pointed out to Eco as we made our way to the changing room.

"But that was before you got accepted in the show."

"What's the point? You still saw me. Either way, you see me on screen too."

"It's not the same," Eco tried to explain.

"I don't see how it isn't." I shook my head.

"Because," Eco stretched out the word. "Just imagine, your favorite singer is performing in a city right next to ours. Would you go see them live, or would you rather just wait to see a video online that a fan took?"

"Pff, that's and easy question. I'll go see them live."

"See-"

"But only because people don't take good footage. It's always blurry or they're recording the floor. I don't see why they still post it up. Like, who wants to see a five minute video just watching the floor?"

"You've never been to a concert, have you?" Eco gave me a look that said, 'Really, Everly? Really'.

"No, but I don't have to, to know that it's the same thing."

"It's not the same thing-"

"Oh, look! We are here," I changed the subject quickly. Talking about concerts made a bit iffy. I don't know why, but by just thinking of it, I felt queasy. Loud music, thrashing crowds, fans going wild. It all seemed really fun, I guess I just have a bad experience about concerts. Not like I ever went, but just by talking about it. Maybe it won't be so bad going to one someday though.

I was lounging on the couch as Eco looked for my dress and shoes that I'm supposed to wear.

"Ever, you did bring the dress with you this morning before coming here, right?" Eco asked, not looking up from the clothes rack as she continued her search, burying her head inside the rack of clothing that was filled to the brim, looking ready to spill out any second.

"What do you mean, did I bring it? I thought you had it here. You took it to the house?"

Eco's head shot up from in between all the clothes.

"What?!" She screeched, damaging my eardrum. "How did you not realize? I was talking to you about this for the past five days!" Eco's face got red, full of anger. "What were you doing as I was talking to you?"

I tried to remember the past five days, remembering when Eco barged into my room chatting on and on about something, I just don't remember what. All I do know was that I was enraptured by the first season of The Flash that just got released on Netflix, I blasted the volume up on that tv, droning out Eco in the process, every single time she came into my bedroom.
