It was just a normal day like any other you got up did your normal routine! You turned your phone on to find a text saying your needed at work, you grab your bag and headed to your car!
not even 10 minutes in and you revise a text you tried to see who it was from but you couldn't see you took your eyes off the road to pick it up,
Sister:
hay are we still meeting up for lunch? Feels like ages since we last saw each other! How's mum? Is she still mad with you?...
you take one hand off the steering wheel to reply you know you shouldn't but you can't keep her waiting!
of course am not gonna miss out on spending time with my little sis! Haha ikr she's fine we sorted it out! How's college going? Got any boyfriends??
you look up from your phone to see what will haunt you for the rest of your life.
a mum and her daughter were crossing the road the light said it was okay for them to cross but your car kept moving there wasn't enough time for you to break there wasn't enough time for you to move the car out of the way,
you will never forget that sound the sound of that mothers child hitting your car with force you will never forget the sound of the daughter's mum screaming for help!
in shook you got out of the car and ran to help the child someone was already calling 999 while another started cpr...
before you new it an ambulance was on the seen followed by a police car one of the officers walked over to you! Do you need treatment he asked you shook your head as you watched the child get lifted in to the Ambulance!
what happened? the officer asked as he took out his note pad
I....i...just took my ...eyes off the road for a second you said as you struggled to hold the tears.
why? He asked next looking at you
my sister..she sent me a text and ...i was texting her back I swear it wasn't long ...i..didn't mean for this..to happen you spoke as you broke down!
come with me the officer said as he pulled out some handcuffs

I walk past your room everyday expecting to see you in there playing with your dolls! Everywhere I go I see you there laughing playing being happy then I blink and your gone...everyday I see your favourite toy or food item I don't know how I can go on you were so young and you were taken from life in a second... You were a happy child filled with love and now your gone.

guys a text message can wait a life can't don't pick up your phone when driving pull over! When you pick up that phone when your on the road not only are you putting yourself in danger you are also putting others in danger to.
