I hopped out of the moving truck with the box that was in the passenger seat in my hands. I was walking up to the door, of the the house I had bought last week, when I looked to my left to see a certain former boy band member walking over to me. I smirked has I thought to myself of the events that led me to this.

Flash back

Me and my friends, Dominique and Kessa, walked into the convenience store after a night of drinking at the club. Our heels wobbling as we lean on each others drunken, giggling bodies. We walk up to the counter looking at the Indian man standing in front of us. We look back at each other and start to laugh, me holding my stomach as I clench the counter in front of me.

"Why do you have a diaper on your head?" I said in between drunken laughs. While my friends next to me fell to the floor their drunken noodle legs giving out on them. I guess you could say that we are pretty big drinkers. Every Friday night going out to the club and drinking who knows how many shots of tequila.

The man behind the counter is obviously annoyed by us now and starts to mumble something in Indian.

I start to mumble random sounds that sound like his mumbling, my legs now giving out on me. The man is quick to get around the counter, picking us up, and practically throwing us out of the shop.

"But you never answered my question?" I said standing to my feet.

"There was never a question said" The man said in his thick accent.

"Oh but there was."

"And what would that be?" The man says crossing his arms over his chest shifting is wait to his left leg obviously annoyed.

"Why are you wearing a diaper on your head?" We all burst out into laughter again while the man yells over us to go away or he's calling the cops.

We eventually comply as he makes his way back inside. I take a second look at the shop and see a bright orange poster hanging on the window. You could say I sobered up pretty fast once I saw what it said.

"Power ball tickets sold here. Buy one to get the chance to win 500 million dollars." I stopped in my tracks, Dominique and Kessa still giggling, walking away.

"Dom, Kes get your asses over here. I'll be right back don't go anywhere without me." I take my heels off jogging back to the store. Pulling the door open and stepping inside.

"I'll give you the count of three before I call the police." He waves a phone in his hand. I hold my hands up to tell him there's no need for that as I walk over to the counter.

"I want to buy a ticket for the power ball."

"Okay..do you want to pay three dollars instead of two and upgrade to the power play power ball?"

I ponder the question. I mean why not it's only an extra dollar.

"Sure." I hand the man another dollar trading it for my ticket.

"Thank you. Do you know when the balls will be drawed?" I ask. Not knowing what I'm doing sense me and my friends are visiting Florida from Utah were its illegal to play the lottery.

"In 3 days from today, on channel 15, at 10 pm they will call the numbers. Do you know how to fill out the card?"

"Um..no not really." I say mentally slapping my self afterwards for saying that and making my self look like a fool. I could've easily looked it up on my phone once we got back to the hotel.

He takes the card from my hand and sets it down on the counter, before retrieving one of the flower pens from the tiny cup filled with uncooked kidney beans. He places the pen in front of me. I pick it up waiting for him to explain how to fill the card out.

"You need to pick five numbers from each of the five panels." He looks up to me waiting for me to follow his instructions.

I bring the pen to the paper circling 24,12,45,32, and 10 in panel A. 43,56,2,7, and 59 in panel B, 1,11,23,27, and 38 in panel C, 41,26,3,13, and 19 in panel D, and 14,17,58,37, and 51 in panel E. I set the pen down looking up waiting for further instructions.

"Now you need to pick 1 number in the boxes below."

I pick the pen back up circling 45,7,23,19, and 37.

"Now check the box on the left that says power play and you're done."

I check the box setting the pen back in the cup and picking up my ticket. I examine it thinking of how much I could win if all these numbers are right.

I fold the ticket so it fits in my clutch and I hold my hand out for the man to shake. He gently shakes my hand as I say my thank you to him and I head out of the store. Before I push the door open I turn around looking at the man.

"Sorry for any inconvenience me and my friends have caused you. Have a nice night." I push open the door the cool night air hitting my before something else hits me and I'm knocked to the floor.

I look to my left to see Kessa laughing her ass off next to me as Dominique kneels near by wiping tears from her cheeks. I stand up brushing off my dress dragging Kessa up with me.

"You guys are a bunch of idiots. Let's get back to the hotel." I say shaking my head as I drag my drunken friends down the street. Lets just say I can hold my liquor better then they can.

"I can't believe you bought that stupid ticket. That could've been an extra shot of tequila last night." Dominique says to me while sitting at the chair in front of the small desk picking at her nails.

I've been sitting here for the past two hours on the edge of the small bed in front of the television in fear that I might miss the drawings. The past couple of days I've been researching about my chances of winning and knowing they are slim but my brain has somehow tricked me into thinking I have a 1 in 10 chance of wining instead of the 1 in 100 million chance I actually have.

Kessa comes into the room, jumping up and down about a guy she met, when the man on the television announces he will be drawing the numbers.

"SHUT UP!" I scream jumping across the room, sitting on my knees two inches away from the television screen.

"And the first number is....45." Oh my god, I think to myself as I look at my ticket.

"The next numbers are....7....23....19 and......37." The screen goes black.

"Holy fuck." I breathlessly whisper to myself as I look at my ticket. I turn around looking at the two girls scowling at me.

"I won." I say not believing what just happened.

"Yeah right. Let me see that." Dominique snatches the ticket out of my hands and walks back over to Kessa, who grabs one side of the ticket. They look at each other wide eyed, before letting go of the piece of paper, letting it float to the floor.

"OH MY GOD!" They shriek causing me to cover my ears. They run over to me engulfing me in a hug resulting in a dog pile on the floor.

"How much did you win?" Kessa asks me helping me up.

I grab the ticket from the floor examining it carefully.

"I-I think I won 500 million dollars! I won 500 million dollars!" I yelled while tears started to fall down my cheeks.
