She's gorgeous. Absolutely breathtaking, and sometimes I just can't take my eyes off her because I'm stunned by her beauty. I'll end up just staring at her, captivated by the striking colour of her eyes and the way they shine when she gets excited. They're bluer than anyone else's that I've ever seen. Her smile is the most radiant in the world and I can't get enough of it. I love making her smile because the room suddenly gets brighter when she does. Everything about her is just immaculately perfect. I love her to death and she doesn't even know it. Well, she does, but not in the right sense. See, I'm head over heels gay for her and she's convinced we're nothing more than the best of friends.
Her name is Lily Beaumont and she is the best thing that ever happened to me. She found me when I was at the darkest point in my life and showed me the light. We met when we were paired up at a knot tying workshop, one I attended a few months ago to learn how to tie one that would cut off a person's oxygen quickly and easily. we started talking in the workshop and bonded instantly. She gave me her number and I gave her mine, and it turns out we went to the same high school. Since then, we've been best friends.
"Hey, you zoned out for a second again," Lily snaps her fingers in front of my face, bringing me back to reality. Where there's nothing special between us.
"Oh, I'm fucking sorry I was thinking," I reply sarcastically, slapping her hand away. She giggles and loops her arm through mine, dragging me away. "Where are we going now?"
Lily smirks and leans her head on top of mine, making fun of me for my height once again. "It doesn't matter, you'll see when we get there." I groan and she grins mischievously.
"Asshole," I mutter under my breath.
"Shut the fuck up, you know you love me," she answers in a singsong voice.
I roll my eyes at her. "Yeah, yeah, keep telling yourself that."
After a few more minutes of playful bickering, we arrive at where Lily wanted to go. She lets go of my arm, giggling, as I look over at her. She starts backing away as I raise an eyebrow at her.
"Really? Your fucking house? Are you serious?" I start towards her, smirking as she flees. "Get back here you little bitch!" I start chasing her around the garden, silently loving her soft laughter. She's so adorable.
"Oh fuck this," I stop running, collapsing on the grass next to the tulips. I pretend to pass out, closing my eyes. "Goodnight." Curling up into a ball on the ground, I begin fake snoring. I hear Lily walking near me, stopping right in front of me. I open one eye to see her standing above me, a water gun aimed right at my face. "Don't you dare." She just smiles cheekily and pulls the trigger.
A jet of cold water sprays me in the face, running down into the grass underneath me. Stealthily, I catch some in my mouth as I stand up and prepare to fight back. Walking toward her, I tilt my head back and spit the water directly in her face.
She looks at me with the most betrayed expression. My heart breaks a little seeing it, but I push that feeling aside and give her a sassy pose. "Payback's a bitch, isn't it?"
She rolls her eyes at me and shoots again. I dodge the stream this time and charge at her, stealing the gun from her hands. She shrieks as I spray the entire front of her torso. I'm too busy laughing to notice she's stolen the gun back and started shooting me again.
We take turns attacking each other until the water in the gun runs out, and then we finally go inside and dry off. Lily lets me borrow some of her clothes, and that's how I ended up wearing an old shirt and shorts of hers. Needless to say, I'm very much enjoying my current situation.
Lily pulls up Netflix on the Xbox and starts scrolling through mindlessly. "Anything you're interested in?" I shrug, munching on the bowl of Doritos in front of me.
