Then it was black, I couldn't even hear anymore. When I woke up, I was in a hospital room. And I felt like I was gonna throw up. I sat up and I then I fell right back down. I was to weak to even sit up. I was just about to throw up and then I started walking towards the bathroom and I fell.

"Mom! Doctor! Somebody!" I screammed as loud as I could even though you could barely hear me when I talked.

"She's on the floor! She's on the floor!" Doctors yelled. I started making gag sounds because I was gonna throw up. "I need doctors, nurses stat!" More doctors yelled. I was so confused I had no idea what was going on. I started throwing up, and it looked like black coffee. I started to feel dizzy and at this time I was still on the floor and doctors and nurses crowding around me kneeling. I fell down from my knees and a doctor caught me asking me if I was okay.

"Huh?" I asked with doctors in my face.

"Lexi, are you okay?" A doctor said. I looked at his name perfectly sewn on his coat in navy blue yarn that stated "Dr. Price" and some other stuff.

"Yeah. I think so- what's going on?" I asked in fear.

"Well, you have this virus called TM131. Which means that if you don't eat, you will pass out. If you pass out, you may slip into a coma and possibly die. There are problems t this virus. Like you can get pneomia, which is when your lungs get infected and get filled with mucus or that stuff that you were throwing up that looks like black coffee. So you are going to stay in the hospital until this virus is gone." Dr. Price stated.

"Oh. Oh." I said in a sickly voice.

"Lexi, what is wrong?" He asked.

"I-I don't feel so good. I feel like I'm gonna puke. Uh-oh." I said also feeling like I was gonna pass out.

"Lexi, what is wrong? If anything happens you need to tell me. Here is a remote. When you press the red button, that will buzz my buzzer and I will know when you need me." He said.

"Uh-uh-oh!" I said loudly.

"Lexi, what is wrong? I need you to tell me." He stern with me now.

"I can't feel anything except my neck and head. Hellppp." I started to pass out, and then I started shaking.

"Lexi, Lexi, calm down. She's having a csesar! Doctors! Nurses! Stat!" He screamed. Then everything went black.

When I woke up my dad was there holding a little stuffed elephant that was purple.

"Hey sweetie, you awake?" He asked in a calm, soothing, voice.

"Hi daddy," I weakly said. "I missed you so much. I love you."

"I love you too, sweetie."

"Where's mom?"

"She is in the room the hospital provided for the family. She's sleeping. How do you feel?"

"Fine. I guess. What did I miss? These walls were green. There yellow now."

"They were always yellow. Here I got this for you." He handed me the elephant.

"I love it. Thank you daddy. I would like my laptop. Can I have it?"

"Sure. I'll just have to go home and get it. Bye. Be right back." He said as he left.

"Bye." I shouted while he was walking through the door way.

Then

I started thinking about Alexis Greene again. Then I thought of the milk carton more carefully. The incident actually made my memory better. It said that she was kidnapped at the Monroe City Mall. I used to live there. And I remember my real parents took me there on my 3rd birthday- which was the day that she was kidnapped- to get my ears pierced. And now I remember it clearly. I was with my real parents and my dad went to the bathroom and my mom took me to the salon to get a hair cut. Then I remembered that a woman that looks a lot like my "mom" now. And she took me into the back room and said to sit. Then my "dad" walked in.

Now

"Here sweetie." He said softly and calmly.

"Thanks. Can I be by myself for a little?" I asked.

"Sure. Bye." He started for the door.

"Bye. I love you."

"I love you too." He yelled from the door.

Then

Anyway, she made me come with her out the back door and took me into a car. She put a towel in my mouth and duct taped it to my face. She blind-folded me and said to keep quiet. I kept my mouth shut, and I didn't say a word.

"We are going to the doctors office, whats-your-face. If you say anything, there will be consequences." She said in a snarl. "What is your name anyway, kid?" She said angerly now.

When we arrived, it didn't look some much like a doctor's office. She reached into the backseat and ripped the duct tape of my mouth. I wanted to scream but I held it in for the sake of my life. When we walked inside, it looked like a regular house, just messy and filled with smoke of the other people there smoking. My lungs filled up with smoke, and started coughing. She gave me look that I could tell she wanted me to stop, so I held this in too.

"Hey kid." She said and I looked up at her face. "You never told me, what is your name?" She said in a soft whisper so nobody could hear her.

"Alexis Greene. I like to be called Lexi." I said like any other little kid would sound.

"Ok. I am going to go register you at the desk. You are Alexis Johnson now."

"Kay." I said scared, but I made my voice sound happy.

When the nurse came out and said "Alexis Johnson" I stood up and she and my "mom" went into the room. I sat down and the doctor came in with needle and I am really deathly scared of needles. And I told the doctor and my "mom" went out into the hall with the doctor, and she came back in with the needle.

"Sweetie, this type of shot doesn't hurt, so you won't be a baby about this, will you?" She asked.

"No."

"Good." She said slyly.

Before I knew it, I was out cold. When  woke up, I didn't seem to remember anything. But, I thought that my "mom" was my real mom. So I went to live with the Johnsons, but I never really understood why I didn't look like my "mom" or my "dad".

Now

"Hey sweetie." My "parents" had just walked into my hospital room.

"Hi." I said. I clearly was upset with them.

"What is wrong sweetie?" Mom asked.

"Nothing. But, I know your dirty little secret." I said like I was gonna blackmail her or something.

"What do you exactly know?" She started getting stern with me now.

"About.. about me, and my life." I started getting a little cocky now.

"Ok, honey I understand but what exactly do you know?" My "dad" said.

I pretended to get sleepy and fall asleep. When they left, I made sure no one was around so I could find my real parents. I went on my laptop and searched for the Greenes. I looked in the online phone book and searched for them. Then by midnight, I was fast asleep.
