Mack's pov

Today is the day. The day me and my brother say goodbye to the place we grew up in. The place where my family is. The place my friends are. The place that bring me happiness. The place that's my home.

Today me and my brother are moving to a new city. Our parents are always on the move. They travel a lot, and it get's so annoying. Yea I know they do it for us, but for once I would like to have them home. Me and my brother, Ryder are moving to New York. Our parents are currently working there, but they have a project which will take 2 years to complete. And by the time they are done both me and Ryder will me off to college. I am really sad that we have to leave, but I am also somewhat excited because, at least we will finally be settled.

I will miss Riley and Mason the most. They are two of the best friends I could ask for. They are there when I need them. I could never ask for better friends. We have been hanging out non-stop since we found out I will be permanently moving. I am really gonna miss these two goofballs.

Right now, we are putting our suitcases in the car. I walk back to my room to look at it on last time. Our aunt and uncle bough this house. My little cousin Abby is getting my room. They already stated moving in. I look around remembering all memories I have had in this room. The time me and Riley had a sleepover, and stayed up all night. We were like robots the next day. I chuckled at the memory. Also the time Mason and Riley came over for a movie marathon, and Mason fell asleep on my bed and me and Riley drew on his face. He was chasing us the next day.

I start feeling tears rolling down my cheeks. I am gonna miss this place so much.

"Mack we are ready to leave, are u almo-" Ryder said, but stopped as he saw my tears.

"Mack are you ok" Ryder said with a soft voice.

I shake my head. He comes closer and gives me a hug. I cry into his shirt, while he rubs my back. We stay their for a few seconds, until he pulls back and wipes my tears.

"I am gonna miss this place Ryder" I say

"I know, me to. But hey look at it this way, we're going to a new city. New city means, a new start. You and I are going to go to a new high school and we will make new friends. And we will finally get to settle down. That's good right." Ryder says in a soft, soothing voice.

I nod

"Annnnd, We are going to have the house to our-self's, which means we can have a party whenever we want. You love that don't you." He says as a joke.

I playfully punch his arm, while having a small smile on my face. He knows I hate parties. He chuckles.

"Awww, there's the smile" He says while messing up my hair.

I slap his hands away. He chuckles.

"Thank you Ryder" I say to him.

I have the greatest brother. Somehow, he always makes me laugh even when I can't. That's what I love about him, he is always there for me. We are very close to each other. I tell him everything. He tells me everything. He is just like another one of my best friend.

"No problem little sis. Ready to go?" He said while putting an arm around my shoulder.

I looked back at my room, one last time. I am ready.

"Let's go" I said.

We walked outside and looked back at the house. I can do this. I though to myself.

We got into the car, and started our trip, New York here we come.
