clarke couldn't keep track of how many movies she and lexa watched, but it was a good time. it was relaxing. hearing lexa joking and laughing along with the movies made clarke smile. she was so pretty.

lexa turned to her girlfriend after the few movies they watched. "hey, my friends and i are having a party for valentine's day. wanna come?"

shit. she couldn't say no, but meeting new people? clarke wasn't the partying type. she also wasn't one to start conversations.

"sure." because why not? well, there were many reasons.

"are you sure? you don't have to." lexa smiled comfortingly. clarke thought. the last time she went to a party, it didn't go that well. she remembered them all, suddenly: octavia, bellamy, raven...finn. she missed them. no matter what happened. but that was one time ... right? there's only a 1 out of 10 chance that would happen again. actually, now that she thought about it, maybe 1 out of 5.

"clarke?" oops. how long was she quiet?

"sorry, just thinking. of course i'll go." it won't be the same.

It's not there anymore.

"alright, cool! i'll drive you there." lexa stood up and clarke reciprocated. they walked to lexa's car and she opened the door for the blonde.

"thank you." she murmured, her blue eyes stuck to the ground. she didn't have to look up to see lexa's smile.

. . .

jesus. there were a lot more people here than clarke thought. it looked as if there were about 100 people. music was playing, but it wasn't that loud. the blonde just followed her girlfriend through the crowds of people. they finally found a small group sitting by a fire. clarke saw felix but with a girl on his arm, joey with a brown haired boy, and lizza holding hands with another boy. then there was two other girls, both dark haired, one wearing a blue sweater and the other a green one. finally, there was a blonde girl with glasses.

"hey everyone!" lexa shouted at her group and sat down. she beckoned clarke to sit by her side, and she did. her friends said hello to her. "guys, some of you have met her before, but this is my girlfriend clarke." clarke's felt butterflies after lexa's words, but then realized the situation at hand. new people. don't be stupid, she scolded herself.

"hello." she smiled politely. okay, that wasn't bad.

"hey, there!" joey spoke up, and then pointed at the boy next to him, "this is my boyfriend, daniel!" daniel waved and smiled, which clarke copied.

"hey there!" clarke turned her head to the voice, and saw felix smirking. "well, i see you got lexa on your arm, we were rooting for it!" everyone laughed and nodded, making both clarke and lexa blush. "and this is my girlfriend, marzia."

"hi!" marzia smiled and clarke waved.

"aye my dude!" lizza yelled out and smiled at clarke. "this is my b-f, since everyone is introducing their lovers, his name is david!"

"hello there." david smiled and so did clarke.

one of the two girls spoke up, she was wearing a green sweater. "hello, we've never met before. i'm chara." she shook clarke's hand.

"and i'm frisk, chara's girlfriend." [a/n: if someone knows who they are from hmu aye] clarke smiled and shook her hand as well.

finally, the blonde with glasses spoke up. "hey! i'm kara. nice to meet you!" [a/n: yes, it's the kara you're thinking of ;)] she smiled at clarke and clarke did back.

that didn't go so bad! clarke thought. she was actually proud of herself for making friends; on the first try. "it's nice to meet you all." maybe i should do something nice so they don't think i'm rude or something. "hey, do you guys want drinks?" she pointed at the punch bowl. a few 'yes, thank you!'s ran across the group, and clarke scurried off to get their drinks. lexa smiled and watched her leave.

"she's very nice." frisk spoke up. "i'm happy for you, lex." lexa smiled.

"maybe she won't be that nice after more of her classmates start dying." chara laughed and the others shook their head.

"i can't believe we're doing all of this just because of nia." daniel rolled his eyes. "that bitch should've stayed in her own lane."

"she can't find out about clarke and lexa together." kara said. "you know what she'll do."

"i won't let her touch clarke." lexa smiled. "if she does, her life will get even more miserable." everyone nodded.

"well, here we go again, then." marzia grinned as everyone laughed.

"clink, clink." lizza winked.
