Katerina's POV

"...The sun god chose to put us together...." I heard Ashton's voice call behind me. Sun god? He definitely told me he was a werewolf when we were dating! I have to figure out what he is. I know he's either a Vampire -Eek!- or worse, a hunter. -Gah!- Super creepy. Why won't he leave me the h3ll alone?

I went to the pack library, something uncommon for me to do. I scanned the books on the shelf for legends but I couldn't find anything. I was about to give up when I saw a title less book spine sticking out from behind one. I pulled it out, blew off the dust, and went to a table to start reading.

Only the table of contents had been ripped out a long time ago, so I had to manually flip the pages to find this certain legend. I found it very near the back of the book after twenty minutes of flipping the pages and trying to read the cramped titles which were legend names.

*Every thousand years or so, one of the sun god's creations will go astray and mistake a girl for their mate. The creation is supposedly in love and will search for the girl until he finds her. The creation can and will follow her until the mistaken mate is captured.

Once the mistaken mate has been held for 24 hours, the creation will come to realize he is destined to kill her. The mate is stalked by any means necessary and is quite usually taken from their own mate by the creation.

Once the mistaken mate is killed her real mate and the creation will die. The real mate's death is quick and peaceful while the creation's is slow and torturous.

There has been other ways for the mate to be mistaken and the least common way is to be hired by Satan. Satan will hire the creation to kill any woman he hates. The creation is normally killed before the mistaken mate is killed and in other times, more lucky.

This has not been seen for over a thousand years and is not believed to even exist.*

Well that was helpful! -Not!- So my ex-boyfriend has been hired to kill me. Not a very nice thought. I put the book back on the shelf and walked to the beta house. It was nice of my new Alpha -ugh!- to promote my father to beta, as he needed a new one.

I had so many thoughts running through my head and they were all related to the legend. No way in h3ll am I getting killed.

Ashton's POV

I kept thinking of a way to trap my mate but so far couldn't come up with one. One thing kept flitting in and out of my head. Why Katerina Williams? why not someone more beautiful than her? why must she be killed? no matter,  I'll find a way.

Wow. Just wow. My strange mind is already working on an idea for an evil scheme. Mwhahahaha! For serious. I could use a little help form you guys though. Since I can't see the comments on the story could you PM it to me or post on the Message Board? Thanks!
