"What should I do now?!"I said to myself, while trying to fix my tie. Being a man and the CEO of a really high-class and successful company, I should know how to fix it.
"Holy Shit!" I said in a frustrated tone to myself, when I saw that I had ruined the whole knot. I was already getting late and on the top of it?This damn tie!!."Wow! What a morning!!" I said to myself sarcastically.
I couldn't ask Mom to do it as she and Charlotte are in Florida, visiting some relatives, dad is in office and I'm left alone.
I was cursing everything around me when an idea flickered in my mind, and I took my tie and went straight to my office. I thought that I'll ask Dad to do it, but for my surprise he was not in his cabin he was attending a meeting with some clients, and was out of new York City. I went to the reception to check if miss Grace was there but obviously how could she be here? It's 8:45 only and the employees and other working staff starts coming from 9.

I went back to my cabin, then after what seemed like 15 minutes.I saw a lady who went straight to her cabin which was just in front of me she was looking elegant with the black pencil skirt, Coral blouse and black blazer which she was wearing, I could see her as the door of almost all the cabins in our company are made of glass,So...Getting back to where I was...She already went in her cabin and when I got to have a glance at her face I recognized her immediately. That beautiful face, how could someone forget that...And obviously..It was the new employee Amelia Williams.
I stood up at once and went to her cabin, she kept both her hands on her waist and was looking a li'l confused.
I went in and said "Amelia Williams?".She instantly put her hands down and said "Y-yes sir?"... "Oh!Someone forgot something!!" I said in a playful Tone she knew I was referring to her with the word 'someone'.
She looked at me and got into deep thoughts, maybe she was trying to recognize what she forgot. She was still thinking when I said "Nevermind , Well, d'ya know how to tie it?"showing my tie to her I asked hoping she knew how to. She looked at it and said "Yes". She took the tie and put it in her neck and when she was done she gave it to me.
I was a little disappointed because I wanted her to fix my tie while it was in my neck but.....She looked cute doing that Whatever!...Behave!
I was going back to my cabin when she said "Sir?". I stopped at once and said "You know what? You forgot that I asked you to call me Erick and not sir"."Oh I'm sorry I forgot".She apologized.
I turned back when i remembered she was going to ask a question.Is she going to ask me whether I'm single or not? Or how many girlfriends I had till date?....Many question came to my mind. And I turned back saying "Well,were you going to ask any question?". "Yes".She answered quickly."K.. What's it?" I asked..Then, she said "Umm...Erick I had some folders on this table.....I just wanted to inquire, that where can I find them?".
Ok! She has disappointed me again, I wanted to tell her that I'm single....Don't worry beautiful I'll find some way to let you know...Saying that to her in my head I waited for a while and then said, "Why don't you check the drawers?"....She made a sheepish face and said "I would have checked them,but I don't know where the keys are!".....And now she was twisting her fingers...Wait..Did I made her nervous?...Am I being bossy?...Was I behaving strictly?... Many thoughts came into my mind. Why do I get so nervous in front of her!!!!."Okay! Ok! The receptionist will be here after sometime you can wait till then, When she'll come you can ask for the keys".After saying that I waited for a reply "Thank you so much!"she said smiling I smiled back and went to my cabin smiling at the first person I saw today....And her smile is actually beautiful...Well she's beautiful....Okay!....Whatever!...Behave. I bet this day will go really well as she is the first person I saw today!!.
Amelia's POV-
I woke up early thinking about my first day(today it is)...I couldn't sleep last night.Right now it's 7:00 and Olavia said that 9 was the deadline....So, I guess I should get ready...But I still can rest for about 10 mins.
I was in my thoughts when the sound of a soft knock made its way to my ears...Already knowing who it was I answered "Mommy I'm already up".Mum stormed in "Well that's pretty good.....Now get up lazy butt"."Yeah..I hope I'll have a good day..." I said nervously. "Amelia don't worry get up...Go and take a shower...Come on" mom said kissing my forehead and after that she dragged me to the bathroom.
I went inside the bathing area and turned on the shower, The hot water pounced on my back dripping down to my toes. When I was done I came out wearing a bath robe. Now...Choosing what to wear...The most difficult task but today it wasn't very, because we had already bought some clothes yesterday.Taking out all the clothes I decided what to wear; A coral blouse,a black pencil skirt,black blazer and then i completed the look with my black wedges.
Wearing stylish yet decent clothes, I went downstairs and had my breakfast....When I got inside the office it was almost 9 but still I guess I'm the first one...yeah first person on the first day....Good Goin' Amy!. I got inside my cabin...and put my handbag on the glass table.i was going to start the work when i observed that the folders which miss Grace had shown me yesterday were not there on the table....I got a little confused ...but more than that I was nervous!!..what should i do now?....don't tell me that i'll have to wait till someone comes and helps me.
Suddenly the door open and coffee incident person came in...Yeah my boss and also along with a tie in his left hand."Amelia Williams?" He said in his hard voice....I suddenly put my hands down my waist and said "Y-yes sir?" I don't know why I'm always nervous when he's around "Oh someone forgot something" what did I forgot....I was thinking what he said when he again opened his mouth and said "Nevermind...Do you know how to tie it?" Ah...He was referring to the black tie in his hands...Well I learnt how to knot a tie from YouTube...Kinda stupid right?...but my ideas are awesome.
I took the tie from his hands and knot it properly and gave it back to him....He mouthed "Thank You" and was just about to go when I stopped him to ask about the folders as only he was there and he's the boss maybe he'll help....I was just about to ask him when he said "You know what? I asked you to call me Erick not sir." I never called anyone who's elder then me by name....Even though he's my boss not my relative...Giving up I apologized "Oh I'm sorry I forgot". I thought he would go after that instead he asked me what I was gonna say...I asked him about the folders and quiet harshly he said whether I checked the folders or not, I told that the drawers were locked. He told me to wait for the receptionist after I mouthed him a 'thank you' he went out.
I was just sitting there idly waiting for miss Grace to come. When she came I gotta know that she wasn't the receptionist she was just handling that job because the receptionist was on leave...I got an important file to compete....Well my first project!. I have to work very hard...hope I'll be able to make the presentation nicely...
