I wake to sound of mothers voice ,the smell of waffles and the feel of the soft pillow beneath my head.
"CARA HURRY UP YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!"
"SHUT UP IM COMING!!!!!"
it's been just me and my mum for 13 years my dad left when I was 4.
"Remember Carrots we have a dinner to go to tonight so dress fancy please "
Carrots is my nickname.
"Whatever!" I add an eye roll after I say it .
When I get home from school mum is already waiting for me at the kitchen so I hurry to get changed . As we're driving mum explains how witches (including me) have soul mates and how we're going to meet mine , I don't bother freaking out there's nothing I can do about it , witches always have arranged marriages.
