The ruler of h3ll clearly hates my guts

Katerina's POV

"Mom? I found this book in the library. You may want to read it." I called as I went into our house. I had checked the book out of the library and had brought it home. My mother came down the stairs with her hair down. "Kat I'm busy cleaning right now. I can't look at it." it was Friday so it was cleaning day.

"Mom it's important. It mentions........Satan." Her face paled at that for some odd reason and she zoned out. I knew she was likely contacting my dad, because it was his day off. Sure enough he walked through the front door.

My mother took the book from me and found the page with the mistaken mate legend on it. "Myron, look. He must have done it! He told us he would come back for this." She looked about ready to cry. That scared me, my mother never cries.

My father read the legend and all color drained out of his face. "Skye. I know he said that. I never imagined it would be Kitty Kat." He was taking this a lot better than my mother. "The hunter I met at school. I just remembered, she's Ashton's sister! Mariah." My mother's face went ever paler, if that was possible.

I felt determination seethe through my veins. "Look at the book if you would like, I'm gonna train." That was an odd request because I had natural @ss-kicking ability. I needed to work on it for the first time in a long time.

Ashton's POV

I was ready to kill Mariah. She was going to kill Katerina at school. Didn't she know I was hired to do the job? I kept trying to think of a way to capture Katerina. What's the closest thing to her? Lightbulb! Her twin sister Grace! Time to get to work.
