Aris Blackwood, lives in the poor part of Mystic Village, which isn't very lucky. She is in the lowest class, Minors, which no one gives respect to.
Aris is placed into a dome with 100 other people, who all have taken doses of serum that has made them vulnerable to the environment, but Aris is immune. So is Aspen Fayther.
Every 10 hours, 30 man-eating monsters are released and they have to fight them off, all in favor of making the Central happy. And if you anger the Central, they send men to give you a serum, for you to be more vulnerable than normal.
Surviving is just the start.
