South Ridge High and a Machine Gun?

So my first couple of months at South Ridge was not the best for me. I had a lot of surprises come to me including getting bullied, pushed around, got into fights which other kids on the football team, and a bunch of other crap. It was difficult enough to get along with the kids there at South Ridge as it is. I thought nothing else could go wrong but guess what I was wrong.

I just wanted to start a day where I can just go somewhere and I won't get picked on or punched. I'm always afraid that I might not wake up the next day but I'll be dead lying in my bed. Sometimes I wish that were the case but I know that I have a job to do and that I need to get it done. Sadly I don't know what that job is but I know that I have a choice to either protect or to destroy everyone. I woke up late the second day of the second semester but I still got to school on time. Like normal, I usually want to go to school and learn and talk to my friends but this time I adversely opposed this option because I knew what was coming.

I decided to stay on campus after twenty minutes of arguing with Jace and Lindsay about me leaving and not returning until they gave the word it is okay to come back. Well, things didn't go so smoothly  from there. Jacob came up to me when I was walking to first period. He pushed and held me against the lockers. I was really getting tired of this crap and wanting him to just leave me alone but that wasn't going to happen anytime soon. Apparently, Jacob didn't punch me like he normally did but gave me a warning. He said, "If I ever see you around this school again you won't be seeing the daylight of the next day. I'll put a hurt on you bad enough that you'll wish you were living in the darkest cave there is."

"So, let me get the straight. If I don't come back here after today you'll hurt me bad enough that I wish never was here on this planet but if I leave I have nothing to worry bout? Well, little hint now, I'm not afraid of you. I'm going to leave this school till I graduate or till I choose to leave."

"Well then if that's how you wanna be then I'll see you after school in the gym. I want to see how well you take what I have in mind for you."

"Well, I can't do that because I have better things and other stuff to do besides go to the gym. I have work to do for other things."

Right, when Jacob released me from the wall I walk with Jace and Lindsay to the rest of our classes and the crowd around us disbursed. Like us, there were more kids within the school. I could sense it but couldn't tell who they were. I want the rest of the day to be nice and peaceful but I know now that that won't happen. So during third period through the end of the day, I had my headphones in so no one can bother me. So I wouldn't be able to hear anything. Only Jace and Lindsay are only allowed to get my attention that day because they were the only ones that understood what was going on. A peaceful rest of the day was what I wanted to happen. I love my music and plus it helps me calm down a lot. I was really getting tired of Jacob and his gang by this point and I only had two options. Option one is I could leave right after school with Jace and Lindsay or option two is that I could spy on Jacob and see what he is up too.

I guess I'll choose both options because yeah I don't want to be anywhere near Jacob and them but also I want to know and find out what their planning and why they keep kicking my ass when I'm not paying attention. So after fourth period,  it was time to go home. I was really looking forward to walk home with Jace and Lindsay. We've always been friends. As much as we piss each other off we're still friends. I told them that I wanted to spy on Jacob and his gang of so-called friends and they agreed it would be a good idea. We went to go find Jacob and he was waiting for his friends to get out. When they did they started to walk back to their lockers and Jacob pulled something out of his bag. It was a machine gun. How did he get a machine gun in his bag much less onto the campus I have no clue and I don't wanna know. I have a bad feeling about it and I wanted to run and get the police but I knew that that would be a bad idea to do.

When he looked over to see if anyone was watching, all he saw was a red, white, and black shirts run the opposite direction. By then Jacob and his gang started to chase Lindsay, Jace, and I with the machine gun in their hands. Each of them had a strand of ammo across their chest and each with a handgun and knife. How in the world did they get these weapons on campus still have no clue and don't want to find out. All we wanted to do was run. As soon as we cut the corner to go outside and to go home Jacob and them opened fire. Luckily no one was hurt but they disappeared as soon as they almost hit me, Lindsay, and Jace. As soon as that happened Jacob yelled out," YOU ARE LUCKY THIS TIME. REMEMBER THIS LESSON. REMEMBER THAT NEXT TIME YOU WON'T BE SO LUCKY."

We didn't stop running until we reached the park, Reeder Hill Park. When we reached the park, Lindsay, Jace, and I all sat down and didn't move. We were all out of breath. Okay, so I can run for miles without stopping but sprinting 11 miles without slowing down is extremely difficult. I've only sprinted 6 miles without stopping but that was during cool weather. I'm still practicing. We were never so scared until today when Jacob and his men started to fire their guns at us. Never have there ever been guns or any weapons on campus.

"Okay, when we get back home we need to see what is going on and why Jacob is doing this," Lindsay said.

"Yeah, we do. And what is Jacob and them bringing the guns and weapons to school and firing up the school or? What does he want with you, Nathan?" Jace said.
