Beerus and the newly transformed Goku started to battle. I stayed right beside Vegeta on the boat fin, watching the battle.
Goku yelled, a red aura surrounding him, starting to go toe to toe with Beerus. He delivered a few blows here and there, surprising the destroyer. Both Gods were hitting each other with such force, each delivering interesting blows.
Goku bit Beerus' tail! He responded with holding Goku by his nose, his claw deep in his nostril. OW!
Then they went into rapid melee moves, the moves exploding into a yellow light show.
I almost didn't want to look anywhere else, but I did. I looked at Vegeta. He was still looking up in the air.
"That Super Saiyan God power is pretty powerful, ain't it." I said and Vegeta didn't respond. He kept his eyes glued to the battle.
I didn't take any offense to that. I knew he we as wrapped up in this fight as everyone else.
Suddenly, I saw bursting beams of light, my brother lighting up and exploding. He was being pushing Goku down from the sky. I watched as my brother was being pushed down, being thrown into a island.
I shouted his name, shock written all over my face. I tried to run, but something was holding me back. It wasn't my will. It was my best friend, Vegeta.
"Your time will come, Katarina. Besides, Kakarot better not die, he is the one who wanted to become the God." I nodded and came back, being close to Vegeta. He held my wrist.
It reminded me of way back when. I could remember it vividly. Vegeta holding my wrist like steel handcuffs. He made me sit on a rock and watch everyone take all the pain.
But this time, Vegeta didn't want me to get hurt. He wasn't here to destroy. He was here to support.
I knew right then, I had to keep believing. I couldn't just go and come to the rescue for Goku. He could do it. I didn't need to be a martyr.
I looked at the island, praying Goku was okay. He needed to be. He just needed to be.
I then watched as Beerus headbutted him back up to space. Goku seemed as lifeless as a rag doll. Then went up into the atmosphere, now both of them back into the altitude they were originally at.
Goku still looked lifeless, basically floating in space. I heard the yells Beerus made, not the exact words, but I knew he was very cross with Goku.
Purple orbs started forming in the sky, heading toward Earth. This couldn't be the end. Not at all.
I then heard Goku's scream, his Kamehameha scream. As sudden as the scream was and the light that followed suite, it ended with a choaking scream from Goku.
My Super Saiyan God brother started falling out of the sky.
Tears filled my eyes as I watched my brother fall. I cried his name, hoping he would wake up, give me a sign, or something to show me he is okay. I felt his pain as he kept falling.
I wasn't sure if it was my twin connection or what. Whenever my brother was in trouble, I could just feel the pain he would go through. Like we were sired together.
My tears fell down my cheeks, my hoarse whimpers the only call for my brother. Vegeta still held onto my wrist not letting me go.
"Vegeta... you got to let me go and help Goku!" I yelled out to Vegeta. He just looked at me, showing no emotion. He looked at me and I could just see it in his eyes. He believed in Goku. He believed that Goku was going to be alright, that he was going to make it out of this fight alive. He just had to. Vegeta's rivalry was on the line. But Vegeta knew Goku would never give up, that wasn't his style.
Vegeta then looked at me, I wiped my tears and he nodded, turning me toward the water where Goku landed. I watched as the waves moved, now making the spot where he landed unrecognizable. Goku had to be okay. I needed him. His family needed him. Even Vegeta needed him.
I kept thinking in my mind. Trying to send Goku a message from the heart. He just had to listen. We have a connection, an inseparable bond, we would never be apart. Not on my watch.
I felt a spark, a spark of warmth. Was this Goku? Was he finally able to tap back into his power again? As if by magic, he rose up majestically with the red, flaming aura around him.
He wasn't out for the count.
We then fixed our gaze to the sky again, my neck about a 90° angle now. Which was not going to be comfortable for long.
"Quite a battle, isn't it, you two." Whis said and Vegeta ignored him. I seemed to be stuck in the position I was in, until Whis hit his staff onto the fin of the boat. I cracked my neck and saw a green orb projecting the battle.
"Ah! A brilliant picture! It's as if you are right there! Except less dodging of energy blasts." Whis said, Vegeta still silent, and myself looking in amazement. Whis smiled and stepped closer toward me, watching the battle.
"Prince Vegeta, you may watch this with us. It would be less of a crick in your neck." And Vegeta still seemed to ignored him.
The battle seemed to go higher and higher. I was still surprised they could breathe.
I watched them collide fists, sending shockwaves that shook everyone. I felt as though my whole body vibrated. I then heard a very weird sound, a broken engine noise and a screaming Mr. Satan.
I looked at that very moment and saw Whis using his powers to hold the capsule pod in the air, so it wouldn't crash into the ship.
Another shockwave hit though, this time my whole body feeling like I was violently shaken like a paint can. Making my head start to ache and my stomach feeling uneasy.
When was this battle going to be over?
Another shockwave hit, the screams of the warriors in the air echoed. The shock wave really made my head hurt, my head pounding in utter pain. My body feeling the effects of a incredible shock wave.
Vegeta looked worried as the bright light enveloped all of us.
Was this the end?
