Lynn's Pov.
"Oppa! What do you mean you're leaving?" Lynn speed-walked on the heels of her older brother by three years as he practically ran towards their mother's van with his belongings.
"Lynn! Stop pestering your brother, we have to hurry if he's going to catch his bus on time!" Their mother yelled out the window of the dark green van. Jackson put his suitcases in the back and slammed the top down with a loud thud.
"Why didn't you tell me? Why would you do this?" Lynn screamed.
"Yah! You loud girl, do you want me to duck tape your mouth and lock you in the closet again?!" Their mother banged the steering wheel.
"Go ahead! I don't care!" Lynn cried out. She ran down the block to the local Anime store that sold action figures and graphic novels. They also graciously gave her anything out of the store that she wanted due to how pretty the manager's son thought she was. But she never gave him the time of day anyway.
She burst through the door of the gigantic shop with it's walls covered in superman comics and what seemed like a million shelves lined up one after another. She always felt at peace here, the outside world faded away and these wonderful creations called comics filled her with joy. She walked down one aisle, stretching her arm out so the tips of her fingers trailed along the multiple books. She closed her eyes and continued to walk down the aisle when she bumped into something, or some one. She popped her eyes open to see a Japanese boy with half a shaved head and dark brown eyes staring back at her.
"Ugh, watch your step, you booger!" She hollered at him. He slightly smirked and put a hand on her shoulder.
"I heard about Jackson leaving. What a shame, now your only buddy is me."
"Whatever..." Lynn pushed him aside.
"Yah! You better treat me better if you want at least one friend while Jackson is gone." He yanked her towards him. She struggled from his grasp and slapped him.
"Yah Yourself, you punk! I don't need you. I don't need anyone but Jackson Oppa...but he's gone." Lynn sunk down to her knees and sulked. Jackson was her best friend, and he had left like it was nothing. In fact, he was rushing to leave.
"That bastard!" Lynn screamed into her knees. She felt like her head was about to explode from all the pressure it was building up between her brain and her skull.
The Japanese boy sat down next to her and looked into her big, light brown eye, and her big aqua blue one. It was one of her features that made her stand out from other asians. How many asians do you know that have two different colored eyes?
"Yah! There's a no crying policy in this store! You'll make potential costumers think we made you cry! And my dad will be furious!" He complained to her loudly.
He never understood why she was so attached to her older brother. She was so blinded by Jackson that she never realized how pretty and smart she was. Ever since her family moved down the block two years ago, she started coming to this store daily. She might as well have worked here! Ever since she came along, they had been getting more business than ever before. She even helped foreign costumers because she spoke Korean, Mandarin and English. She could have been really popular but, to other people she's considered out of tune with the world. It's like her world revolves around Jackson. But she was funny, caring, and exotic. Most of all, she was herself no matter what situation or person.
These were the reasons why he fell in love with her. But he had been waiting for two years. That's long enough, right?
"If you love some one, let them go." He said simply.
"But Jackson-"
"He's gone. Where to exactly?"
"Seoul."
"Why?"
"To be an idol."
"Wait, like a singer?"
"Jackson is more of a dancer and a rapper. But yeah."
"Wow, who would have known?"
"...."
"Seoul is swarming with celebrities! And Jackson, your brother, will be one of them! How cool is that?"
"I just wish I could be apart of that...So we could be together like it's always been!"
"Oh, well...why don't you go? You're sixteen! Go live your life in the big city!"
Her eyes grew so wide he thought they would fall out roll away. She quickly recomposed herself and hurried out the door of the store. That was possibly the last time he would see her.
If you love some one, let them go.
No matter how hard it is.
