Tum Bin Jiya Jaye Kaise

This is going to be a Kaira one shot.

It starts from the day after Akshara's birthday, when Naira talks to Karthik on the phone and gets to know he is drunk and ask him to return to Maheshwari House and she herself returns to Singhania Sadan.

"Naira beta, ayegi tum. Kya hua", said Akshara as she saw her daughter entering, noticing that she looked a bit upset.
"Kuch nahi mumma", replied Naira
"Kuch toh hua hai. Akshara ne kaha tha tum Karthik se milne ja rahi ho, uss ke saath jhagda hua hai kya", asked Devyani
"Nahi dadi, Karthik se toh mil bhi nahi payi", replied Naira
"Kyun beta, kya hua, bina mile kyun chali ayi", asked bhabhi ma
"Badi dadi woh actually Karthik ke kuch friends aye huye hostel se. Karthik ne anne ki koshish ki but unnho ne Karthik ko wahan rok diya", replied Naira, purposefully leaving the part about Karthik leaving his friends and driving in a drunk state
"Oh ab samjhi, Karthik se ghussa ho kyun ke woh tum se mil ne nahi aiya", said Gayu
"Nahi Di, aisi koyi baath nahi hai", said Naira
"Don't worry beta, aaj nahi mil payi kal mil lena. Kaunsa woh kahi dur janne wala hai.", said Naitik.

Just then a couple of boys entered.
"Namaste", the boys greeted
"Radha Krishna", greeted the others
"Aap log kaun", asked Akshara
"Hum Karthik ke dost hai, mein Manas, yeh Paras, aur yeh Tarun", replied one of the boys
"Andar ao", said Akshara and the other's inviting them in
"Kuch kaam tha, aap logon ko", asked Karishma
"Kya karthik yahan hai", asked Paras
"Woh toh yahan nahi hai", replied Raj Shekar
"Aap log Karthik ko call kar ke kyun nahi puchte ke wo kaha hai", suggested Gayu
"Woh..woh actually", fumbled Paras while speaking
"Kuch toh hua hai, tum log bahut pareshan dikh rahe ho. Naira ne kaha Karthik apne doston ke saath hai. Tum log keh rahe ho tum Karthik ke dost ho, Lekin woh tum logon ke saath nahi hai. Yahan ho kya raha hai koyi batega", asked Akshara a bit sternly
"Hum yeh nahi jante the ke woh car le kar chala jayega. Hum sab ne usse rokne ki koshish ki Lekin woh nahi manna", said Tarun
"Main ne kaha, don't do it, nahi handel hota hai usko, Manas told the other two.
"Saaf saaf kaho, kya hua hai", asked Naitik
"Woh hum sab bahut waqt mile. Humein lagga Karthik humare saath hi rahega, kahi bahar nahi jayega. Karthik drink nahi karta, Lekin hum ne bas masti ke liye Karthik ke juice mein alcohol mila Di thi. Hum yeh nahi jante the ke woh Naira se milne ke liya itna bechain hai. Hum ne usse rokne ki bahut koshish. Uski bike ki keys bhi chupa di, Lekin woh Tarun ki gaadi le kar chala gaya", spoke Manas
"Aur abb woh phone bhi nahi uttha raha hai", spoke Tarun
"Tum logon ne yeh kya kiya, mazak ki bhi ek hadh hoti hai", replied Devyani
"Don't worry Karthik thik hai, jab main ne usse bath ki thi toh mujhe ehssas hua ke woh drunk hai, toh main ne usse wapas janne ko kaha. Ab tak toh nanu nani ke ghar phaunch gaya ho ga", said Naira
"Mein ek baar maa ko call karke puchti hun ke Karthik wahan hai ke nahi", said Akshara.

"Kya hua bahu", asked bhabhi ma after Akshara finished speaking to Rajshri
"Woh wahan bhi nahi hai", said Akshara
"Aap sab log tension mat kijiye. Mera Karthik bilkul thik hoga", said Naira.
"Haan princess kuch nahi hoga tumhare Karthik ko", replied Naitik. Just then Naira's phone started ringing
"Karthik", she exclaimed looking at the phone and picked it up
"Karthik tum kaha ho", asked Naira
"Pahadi wale raste par. Tum se milne araha hun", replied Karthik
"Karthik main ne kaha tha tumhe, hum kal mil lenge, phir tum kyun", said Naira
"Naira beta phone speaker par dalo, hum sab usse baath karte hai", said Akshara and Naira did as told
"Karthik, meri baath sunno, please beta. Gaadi mat chalo", said Akshara.
"Mujhe Naira se milne aana hai", replied Karthik
"Karthik please tum jahan ho woh hi ruk jao, mein tumhe Naira ke paas le kar aunga", said Naitik
"Nahi sir aap tension mat lijiye, mein ajaunga", says Karthik
"Karthik mere baath sunno about abhi issi waqt gaadi rokko, tumhe meri kasam hai", said Naira
"Lo rukk gaya", said Karthik
"Tum pahadi raste par ho ne mein aur papa abhi aate hai", said Naira
"Naira deko tum itni baatein karti ho ke mein jiss ke liya phone kiya. Radio on karo, please mere liye" said Karthik
Naira puts the radio on the channel which Karthik asked

The radio played
"And this song is by Karthik, for his love, for his Naira.", the voice said and soch na sake started playing. Karthik also sang along the lines through the phone. Naira had a big smile on her face all along, the depth with which he sang had bought tears to her eyes.

"Naira, tum naraz toh nahi ho, ke mein tumse phele milne nahi aiya", asked Karthik
"Nahi Karthik mein bilkul bhi naraz nahi hun", replied Naira
"I love you Naira. I love you so much. Kabhi mujhe chod kar mat janna warna mein mar jaunga", spoke Karthik
"Karthik tumhe kabhi kuch nahi hoga mein kyun ke kabhi tumhe akele nahi chodungi, I love........", Before Naira could continue a loud crash was heard and everyone's eyes widened.
"Karthik", Naira screamed
"Karthik beta, karthik", all the other's called out to him,  but there was no response.
Naira ran towards the door but her parents held her back
"Mujhe janne di jiye, mujhe apne Karthik ke pass ja na hai", said Naira pushing out of their grip.
"Naira beta meri baath sunno, Naitik wahan jayenge aur tumhare Karthik ko wapas le ayenge.", said Akshara
"Main khud jaungi", insisted Naira
"Naira tumhari mumma sahi keh rahi hai, mein le aunga Karthik ko.", said Naitik. Both had noticed how broken Naira was from within, and didn't want her to go and finally convinced her for the same.

It had been 4 hours since Naitik had gone. Maheshwari's had come over to Singhanias. Shaurya and Vishambar had gone to the place where Naitik was. Naitik had called and informed everyone earlier that Karthik's car was found crashed, but there was no one, the police were searching. Naira was even mere stressed hearing this. Akshara noticed and gave her some sleeping tablets, she had been asleep for around two and a half hours
"Karthik", Naira got up with a start taking her mendak' name
"Kaha hai mera Karthik, aap ne kaha tha ke papa usse le ayenge. Kaha hai mujhe mera Karthik chaiye abhi", screamed Naira
"Bitya shaant ho ja jamai sa Karthik ko le arahe honge", said Rajshri trying to calm her down
"Naitik ka phone hai", said Akshara looking at her phone. Naira grabbed her phone and a received the call. Before Naira could say anything Naitik spoke
"Akshara, KKkkkaaarthik ab is duniya mein nahi hai", Naira fell on the floor, completely lifeless. Rajshri, Varsha and Akshara caught her.
"Naira kya hua, Naitik ji ne kya kaha", asked Varsha
"Kya hua Naira bitya", asked Rajshri
Naira stayed mum at their every questioned. Akshara took the phone that had fallen to the ground and inquired about the matter from Naitik. Tears rolled down Akshara's eyes which everybody noticed
"Kya hua bhabhi" asked Karishma
"Karthik nahi raha, Naitik, dadu aur babuji body ko le kar arahe hai", replied Akshara in tears.

Everyone was shattered, Naira's state was most terrible, she hadn't said a word. They had informed Kirti. Akhilesh, Surekha and Kirti had come over, the rest of the family was out of town and would come by tomorrow. An hour and a half later, Naitik and the other's came in with the body.
"Karthik", Naira finally spoke up.
"Tum aagaye, papa aap ne itni der kyun ki, mere Karthik ko le aane mein", asked Naira
"Dekho ne mumma, mera mendak kaise so raha hai. Hum kitne pareshan ho rahe the aur yeh aram se soiya hua hai", said Naira.
"Mendak dekho seddhe seedhe uth warna mein paani phekungi uthane le liye, phir nutanki mat karna,", warned Naira
"Princess ab Karthik kabhi nahi uthega", Naitik said calmly
"Karthik ab kabhi laut ke nahi ayega", Shaurya spoke
"Woh ayega mere liye ayega", Naira repeated over and over again stubbornly
"Nahi ayega, ja chuka hai woh, tumhe chod kar, hum sab ko chod kar, yeh duniya chod kar", said Naitik, shaking Naira.
"Kyuun", said Naira pulling on Karthik's shirt collar.
"Tum ne kaha tha tum mere bina jee nahi paoge, phir tum ne yeh kaise soch liye ke mein ji paungi tumhare bigaer. Tum chale gaye phir mujhe yahan kyun chod diya akele zindagi guzarne ke liye.", she asked jerking his body

Two weeks had passed by, everyone thought that Naira was moving on but they were wrong, couple of days later when Mishti jao gone into Naira's room she noticed Naira lifeless on her bed with a slit wrist lying in a pool of blood. She screamed for the other family members
"Am sorry mumma papa, main ne bahut koshish ki aage badhne ke. Lekin mujh se nahi hua. Karthik ke bina har pal maut ke barbar hai. Iss se toh behtar hai ke ek pal mein yeh zindagi khatam ho jaye", Naira's last letter read.

In a different world

A handsome boy was standing, he felt a pair of arms around his body, he turned to see
"Naira, tum yahan kyun ayi", asked the boy
"Kyun ke mein tumhare bina je nahi pa rahi thi", replied Naira
"Ghar wale tumhare bigaer kaise jeange", asked Karthik
" mumma papa sab sambhal lenge aur ek dusre ko bhi. Jitni taqleef unn sab ko aaj ho rahi hi uss se zyada dard unhe tab hoti agar woh mujhe purri zindagi pal pal marte huye dekhte", replied Naira.
"Itna pyaar karti ho mujse", asked Karthik
"Pata hai Karthik, bahut koshish ki aage badhne ki, khud se pucha ke kaise jiyon tumhare bina, Lekin ek hi jawab mila. Tumhare bina, ji hi nahi sakti.", replied Naira and hugged Karthik.
