Colton, you hadn't known him very well and it was a quiet day you were walking around the park pacing you were taking your drivers test in three hours and you were stressed. You paced around and noticed him across the park remembering he had just passed his driver's test. You decided to walk over to him.
"Hey Colton" you said he turned around.
"Oh hey" he said smiling weakly.
"You okay?" you said.
"Yeah I'm fine what's up?"
Your POV
"I'm supposed to take my driver's test today and I'm stressed out" I said.
"Ah you'll do fine" he said smiling a little more confidently this time patting me on the back. A ding came from his phone he checked it quickly and put it back in his pocket. He seemed nervous.
"You waiting for someone?" I asked.
"Yeah but I don't know if they'll ever get here they said they'd be here at 10:30 but it's 11:02 and they're not even awake" he said.
"Shit that's annoying" I said.
"Tell me about it" he said.
"Alright so this person said they'd be he-" I started and he laughed cutting me off with a: no it was a joke.
"Wanna hang out with me until they wake up then?" I asked. He hesitated looking down at the ground and then met my gaze.
"Sure" he said smiling again. This time genuinely.
"There's that smile!" I said smiling myself.
We walked around Flamabooza (imaginary town that I live in) and just talked until it came around time where I would have to go to take "the test of fate" no but still it's important!
"I'd love to stick around and wait for you to get done but that girl I was waiting for just texted me she's on her way, good luck Y/N" he said walking away.
"Girl" he'd said, a girl he was waiting for, so was he dating someone? How had I not gotten around to knowing this? Oh well I couldn't worry about that I had my driver's test to take.
The boy had said I'd done well and that I'd probably be getting my license. That was a relief. I hadn't talked to Colton in about a month and I hadn't realized how much I missed talking to him.
Stay tuned for part two 😜
