Angel have over run our world for over 20 years. You see unlike the how the Bible describes them. At least I think, I have never read a single page in the Bible. Since the beginning a select group of children at the age of 6 was chosen to become fighters. We all trained until we reached the age of 16, we had nine years of training, while angels only had two. However, we were all ranked from one, being the best, and 28 being the worst. I was ranked 28, see no matter how hard I tried I stayed that rank. I would even fight with rank one, but the trains would act like nothing happened, even if I won. I trusted them though, they were wise and ment well.

We. Each and every one of us specialized in a certain weapon category. I m good with small blades and knives. I am smaller in hight, then the most of the members, so I was much faster and quite flexible. My full name is Shayna Anne Everet, but my team called me Shay or shortly. Some of the times we were sent out in small groups to spy on spotted angels, however, not everyone made it back unwounded. I was only wounded once, she had snuck up behind me and attacked. I came back with a knife blade stuck in my hip, and several gashes. Luckily Joe had my back. After that I never once underestimated them. For years a little fight has been going on between us and the Angels. One thing I never told anyone was how their wings fascinated me, they were so elegant and beautiful. You could tell themselves and their wings were powerful, you never wanted to get hit by their wings, or its lights out for you. Their wings served as a shield and protected them from oncoming bullets, be it silver or gold.

We all trained during the day and took a nap at night, for someone was always on night duty. We stayed in dorms with roommates. Our roommates either was close to our ranking or they had the same interests in weapons. In this school we had rules that were followed or you would be punished. I always thought angels were demons and we were the Angels. That was until I saw how Tate punish an angel. She looked to be 13 and I felt sick and disgusted with him, them, me. I still blame myself for her pain and not stopping him...them. the look in her eyes haunt me, reminding me of what I had done wrong...I believed them.

Joe had brought her in. She was caught trying to learn our training skills. Everyone except Tate was asked to continue with their work. I was a very curious cat back then. "Bring her with me." Oliver whispered. I slipped behind them quietly. I followed them all the way to a back room, with solid steel door and no Windows. I hid behind a pillar to watch them. At first I didn't understand what they ment until it was too late. Tate had what looked like a glass sword in his hand and at that moment I thought I knew what was going to happen. I had to cover my mouth to keep myself from being heard, I was to stunned. I watched in horror as he cut off her wings. As she cried out in pain she stared at me straight in the eye before passing out. I couldn't handle it anymore and ran from that room. I ended up vomiting outside, when I was finally done emptying my stomachs I wiped away the tears and hid in my room. That night I ran, I ran from them, myself and from the girl I could have saved.

SO LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK....

PEACE
