I Guess He's Right

Lucy's p.o.v~

"Hey Luce. Why don't we take a job together? Like old times." Natsu said with his really cute smirk.

"Yeah. Lets do it!" I said, smiling.

I giggled at the fact that we will work together like we used to. "What's so funny?" Natsu asks. "It's nothing. I just think it's nice that we get to spend time together." I said, smiling. Natsu blushes, "Y-yeah. Me too!" Natsu says with a tint of pink on his cheeks.

"Is Natsu Dragneel, the fire mage of Fairy Tail, blushing?" I ask, teasing him

"What? No!" He yelled, turning away

I giggled and went to the request board. I looked around the board for any good ones until I saw one that caught my attention.

"Celestial spirit by the name 'Leo' is currently causing destruction in the town of Crocus.

Fire mage needed. Celestial wizard needed.

Reward: 50,000 Jewel"

"Hey Natsu. What about this one? They need a fire mage and a celestial wizard." I asked walking towards him with the paper in my hand

He took it out of my hand and read it

"Lets do it. Seems easy. He said

"Hey Mira. We're taking this one." I said to her

"Just you two?" She asked sweetly

"Yup! Just like old times." I responded with a smile

"Good luck you two!" She said and giggled

"Thanks, Mira."

Me and Natsu met up at the guild 20 minutes later and were walking towards the train.

"Why can't we just walk?" Natsu groaned

"Because it'll take us hours to get there, walking." I said as we got into the train

A few minutes passed and Natsu was resting on my lap and ready to hurl(puke)

"Crocus, coming up" The conductor said

"C'mon, Natsu. We're almost there." I said stroking his cute, pink, spikey smooth hair

He groaned and ran out of the train. I followed behind and once his lunch was no longer in his stomach (gross). He smiled and wiped his mouth. "Thats gross, Natsu!" I yelled. "I'm sorry. I couldn't hold it in anymore." He said getting up from the ground. I chuckled and began walking away.

"Wait! Don't leave me!" Natsu yelled, running up to me

"Natsu, I was 5 feet away from you." I said casually, stopping

"Oh...." He said looking at the ground

I giggled and started walking again. This time with Natsu by my side. I looked at him and smiled. He looked at me and smiled back, causing me to blush.

"So, did they say where to--" I started

"Well look it here, folks. Looks like someone brought me toys." Someone said from behind us

We turn around to see a guy with orange hair, with ears and in a tuxedo. I have to admit, he's pretty damn cute. Just not as cute as my Natsu! No no no! You don't have feelings for him! He's just a friend!  I thought

"And they got me a cute one too." He said, giving me a smile and wink

"Hey! Back off!" Natsu yelled, getting in front of me

I blushed at Natsu's statement. And Loki seemed to notice.

"Oh, is she your girlfriend? I see her blushing back there." He laughed

"N-no. She's not my girlfriend, she's just my best friend." Natsu said

"Damn. Sorry, blondie but it seems like you just got friend-zoned." 

I lost the smile I had and started thinking to myself. Maybe it's true. Maybe he just thinks of me as a friend. I guess he's right.
