It all started late one night. A young girl who went by the name Erica was searching through the attic, trying to find something to entertain her. She usually wasn't allowed in the attic but her parents went out for dinner so Erica decided to sneak up. After a few hours of searching. Erica found a cardboard box that belonged to her grandfather. Erica never knew her grandfather due to him mysteriously disappearing just before she was born. In the box, Erica found an old VHS with the words "do not play" written on it but Erica, being a curious child, ignored the warning. She climbed out of the attic and went to her fathers den. Luckily for her, her father was old fashioned and still had a VHS player. After some fiddling around, Erica had gotten the VHS to play. On the VHS was an old black an white cartoon which is fitting since Erica's grandfather did work on making old times cartoons when he was younger. The cartoon followed a girl named Molly. The cartoon was a simple cartoon, like a lot of old cartoons. Despite how simple it was, Erics found herself unable to stop watching it. She watched it repeatedly for hours until she heard her parents car pull up. At that momment, she quickly took out the VHS out, turned everything off and ran upto her room, hiding the VHS in her closet before climbing into bed and falling asleep.

The next day, Erica woke up early and looked out the window, seeing it was snowing. She raced downstairs "mom! Dad! Its snowing!" She said excitedly "yes it is sweetie. Which means no school today" Erica's mother responded "but unfortunately kiddo, work isn't cancelled. But you're a big girl. You'll be fine right?" Her father asked "yep dad!" Erica smiled proudly. A few hours later, Erica's parents had left. Erica ran upro her room and got the VHS then ran into her fathers den and put the VHS on and started it. There was something different this time, a different cartoon. In this cartoon, Molly was weilding a large hammer and chasing people who resembled Erica's parents. The cartoon ended with Molly crushing the people with the hammer. Despite how the people resembled her parents, Erica was unphased and watched the cartoon on repeat until her parents got home. After that, a few uneventful days passed.

Erica was having a playdate with a friend, Anna. Erica brought out the VHS and showed Anna. After Erica put the VHS in, a new cartoon played. This time it showed a gruesome cartoon of Molly seemingly torturing a girl who resembled Anna. Erica was one again unphased but Anna was sickened by the cartoon and ran off to tell Erica's parents. After Anna left, Erica's mother confronted her "where did you get this Erica" her mother asked

"I... Uhh... I found it..." Erica responded nervously

"Where did you find it?" Her mother narrowed her eyes

"The... the attic..." Erica looked down

"We told you not to go up there" her mother sighed "thats it, we aren't leaving you alone anymore"

A few hours passed and the police arrived at Erica's house and started talking ro her parents, Erica snuck down and evesdropped on the conversation. She discovered that Anna didn't return home and was currently missing

About a week later, Erica's parents had to go out for a business meeting. They hured a teenage woman named Jessica to babysit Erica. Luckily for Erica, Jessica was seemingly pre-occupied with her phone, allowing Erica to sneak into her parents room and grab the VHS then sneak into the den and start watching it. This time, the VHS played a cartoon where Molly was brutally and graphically murdering a man who resembled Erica's grandfather but as usual, Erica was unphazed. After a few viewings, Jessica came in and took the VHS out "your parents said you can't watch this. Go to your room" Jessica said demandingly. Erica sighed and went upto her room. After a few minutes, Erica heard screaming. She went down to investigate and found Jessica laying in the den, dead and covered in ink. The TV was turned on and playing static, ink seemingly leaking from the screen. As Erica approached, a new cartoon started playing. One where Molly was torturing a girl who looked similar to Jessica. Then, the ink started to move an envelop Erica and as it did, everything went black, Erica tried to look around for a light source but was unable to find one. Suddenly, a screen lit up in the darkness, showing a new cartoon of Molly slitting the throat of someone who looked like Erica "whuh-whats going on...?" Erica asked, terrified. In response, the screen shatter and Molly appeared

"Hello" Molly smiled

"M-Molly...?" Erica asked, confused

"Yep" Molly said cheerfully

"Wh-whats going on...?" Erica asked

"Oh nothing. I just need you to do something for me?" Molly responded

"Wh-what...?" Erica asked hesitantly

"Take my place in this cartoon wonderland" Molly twirled around as the blackness faded, showing a world resembling a black and white cartoon

"I... I... I guh-guess..." Erica responded, looking around in confusion

"Good" Molly laughed as her face contorted into a monsterous visage

"W-wait... wh-whats go-" was all Erica could say before the inky blackness returned and consumed her. The world returned to normal and the ink slowly dripped off Erica's body which was now black and white, much like an old cartoon. Molly's laugh could be heard coming from Erica's body "what a pitiful child" Molly said, now having full control over Erica's body

A few hours later, Erica's parents returned home to find all the lights off. After calling out to Jessica and getting no response, Erica's parents cautiously looked around before making their way to the sole light source in the house, the TV in the den. A black and white Erica was trapped in the TV, screaming and banging on the glass. Her parents ran to the TV and tried to do something but they were knocked to the ground by Molly weilding a comically large hammer

"I-its Molly..." Erica's father said in shock

"W-we thought dad tr-trapped you in that VHS..." Erica's father said fearfully

In response, Molly giggled "thank your daughter. She was stupid enough to watch the VHS and become enthralled by me and soon became so enthralled, she agreed to take my place in the cartoon. Plus she was nice enough to give me her body"

"W-we'll stop you... a... and get our d-daughter back..." Erica's mother said in fear

"Puh-lease. That old man couldn't stop me, Erica couldn't and you can't. Now... its time for some quality entertainment!" Molly's hammer turned into ink which formed into a baseball bat which Molly uses to bash Erica's parents skulls in
