Entering the school I noticed this girl whose skirt was pulled all the way to her belly button her butt hung out of the bottom of her skirt. I rolled my eyes and kept walking.

"Like we needed another degenerate in this school." I looked at the girl who had her butt hanging out of her skirt, she was giggling with her friends about what she had just said. I turned around slowly and took a couple towards the girl and her friends.

"Can you even define that?" The girl looked at me clearly puzzled and crossed her arms. "Degenerate, do you even know what that means?"

"Of course I do you degenerate. It means.., um.." I laughed cynically and looked at the girl.

"It means; having lost the physical, mental, or moral qualities considered normal and desirable; showing evidence of decline." The girl scoffed at me and crossed her arms clearly embarrassed. Never did I ever think I would be hitting bitches with definitions in a fight.

"What a fuckin' nerd huh babe?" A guy that I didn't recognize said as he came over and swung his arm around the girl's shoulders.

"Yeah never mind degenerate, you're a nerd." I raised my eyebrows at the couple and their friends.

"Wow, how original." Not wanting this fight to go any further I walked away and found my 1st-period class.

I walk into my class 20 minutes late, what a great way to start off the first day in normal people school. I slammed the door which causes the teacher to jump.

"You must be Alessandra Trevino am I correct?" The teacher said sweetly as she checked the attendance sheet.

"Correct," I answered in an impassive voice not wanting to show any kind of emotion, it was too early in the morning for that.

"Welcome Alessandra, I'm Mrs. Jackson and you will be sitting right next to Mia. Raise your hand, Mia." A girl with light brown hair and dark eyes raised her hand.

I walked to the back of the classroom where she sat and where I would be sitting and put my stuff down then plopped down in the chair. The Mia girl didn't say anything to me just looked at me for a brief second then back up at the board.

Then I felt a tap on my shoulder from someone besides me. I turned to look at the person and saw it was the guy from the hallway.

"So I was thinking-" I quickly cut him off.

"You think? Wow didn't expect that one." I heard Mia snicker behind me. But the guy didn't seem too happy. Before he could say anything else I answered his question for him. "No, I am not going to sleep with you and No, I don't care what sport you're the captain of." The guy shut up real quick and sat back in his chair.

Another half hour went by before the bell rung. As I collected my stuff and put it back in my bag Mia's voice stopped me.

"Not many girls do that to Rocco, you know reject him. I think we'll get along real well."

"Well, I don't go after guys just to screw around. I don't go after guys period." Mia looked at me like she had just realized something.

"Ohh so you swing that way." I laughed and shook my head.

"No what I meant was I just don't have the time for guys or relationships, I have a lot more important things to worry about. I'm not a lesbian, promise." Mia put her hand on her chest clearly relieved of the thought I liked her Roccotically.

"Well see you around." Mia left the classroom as I packed up the rest of my things.

The rest of the school day went by relatively fast and Mia was in most of my classes and we talked more and more throughout the day. Turns out she also was from a mafia family.

After saying goodbye to Mia I called my dad to come pick me and he told me that my car was in the parking lot. It took a little bit of searching but eventually, I found my car and drove home.

When I arrived at my house I noticed some cars that certainly weren't mine or my parents. Not thinking much of it, I walked into my house and was met with our butler.

"Ciao Alessandra, your father wants you in his office." I nodded and ran upstairs to put my stuff down then made my way to my dad's office. As I got closer to my dad's office I heard laughter which I usually never heard coming from my dad's office.

Knocking before entering I heard my father say 'come in'. When I walked in I saw Rocco and who I assumed were his parents. I couldn't come up with any reason as to why they were here. My mother was seated on my dad's lap as they continued to talk to Rocco's parents. Rocco sat there clearly uninterested.

Then my dad's office door opened again and in walked Mia? This day was just getting more and more confusing. She looked at me with one eyebrow raised then sat next to Rocco.

"Now that everyone is here I think we should deliver the news." I looked at my mother confused about what she was talking about. "Rocco, Alessandra, you're getting married!" My mother yelled, excitedly for some strange reason. Then I started to laugh.

"Alessandra I don't know why you're laughing, we're serious." My dad announced taking my mom off of his lap.

"Oh I know you're serious, I'm laughing because you guys seriously think I would ever in a million years get married at 18 and to a neanderthal such as him." I shot Rocco a dirty look who sat there surprisingly quiet for someone who had just been told their being forced into a marriage.

"Alessandra, you don't have a choice and so doesn't-" My mother started.

"I'm down," Rocco said quickly cutting off my dad. My eyes practically came out've my head and hit the floor.
