Chapter Twelve

Tucker is 4 months old

Megan held her camera and filmed as she watched Sami and China prance around the arena, leaving their hoof prints in the sand. She smiled as Sami threw her head back, her mane flowing in the air. She was filming for another video on her channel to introduce China into her small herd.

She and Jake were in Texas for the next week before they had to film for the episode that Megan was going to be in. They were using an arena that was owned by a friend of Megan's dad.

Jake brought Bella into the stadium and took off her halter, which he learned how to do pretty quickly. Bella pranced towards the other two mares.

The video also contained pictures of China since this video was partially for China joining the little herd. It also had some pictures of China with the two horses separately and some of China with Megan. She even put on a cute tan dress on that went with

When they were finished, Megan just spent some time with her horses. She squatted down as Sami walked slowly over to her and sniffed at her shoulder. China and Bella followed shortly after. Megan had no idea that Jake was still filming the rawness of Megan's relationship with the three horses. Her happiness was important to him because he hated seeing her upset, especially about her family.

Megan felt her eyes water as Sami turned her head to look at her. She stood up and scratched the size of Sami's jaw. The mare titled her head making Megan smile.

Jake cleared his throat, breaking Megan and Sami out of their bonding moment.

"Thanks dude." Megan said as he turned her head to face Jake.

"You wanted to go get Leah and get some food." Jake replied as Megan walked up to him.

"We're you filming the whole time?" Jake shrugged his shoulders. Megan punched his shoulder.

"Ow, how can you hit that hard and be a girl?" Jake grabbed his short which partially hurt.

"Well when my boyfriend drags me to the gym every time he goes, I build up muscle and get abs." Megan lifted her shirt to reveal her abs that were still coming. She put her shirt back down and pecked Jake's lips.

Megan got the horses back into the trailer and the two drove to little farm house that Lea and her boyfriend, Ty, were living in that they lived in rent free because Leah's grandparents owned the house. They were staying with them rather than staying with Megan's parent for the obvious reason.

"So, are you still not talking to your parents?" Leah asked as she and Megan groomed the four horses; Sami, Bella, China, and Leah's Haflinger cross, Tommy.

"No, not really." Megan replied as she cleaned out Sami's hooves.

"What's going on then?"

"My mom really seems to now want to be in my life. I don't know what's going on with my sisters. My dad and Kyle are the only two that talk to me. I'm at the point where if they don't want to talk to me, that's their choice. I'm still going to the family reunion next month."

"Are you going to take Jake with you?"

"If he wants to go. Everybody else likes him except my mom. I love coming back to Texas but I can't stay with my parents because I don't feel like fighting with my mom." Bella suddenly snorted and walked away, causing Megan to look up. She smiled when she saw Bella walk up to Jake as he walked toward them.

Megan's phone starting ring. She pulled her phone out to see that it was her Uncle Daniel calling. She swiped over and put the phone to her ear.

"Hey Uncle Daniel." Megan answered the phone.
