Hey guys, this is a poem I wrote myself for our English class during our poetry unit, and thought it isn't very amazing, I'd like to share it with you guys, if I even have interested readers...
So yeah, it's a little sad. It's about my best friend Kitty who ended up moving away because of some problems, and it's basically an apology to her. Hope you're reading this Kitty, love you <3

She’s the marshmallow in my s’mores,
The sunshine in the summer.
The delicate white foam floating on the seashores,
She’s my pimpin’ nonexistent Hummer.
She makes me smile when I want to cry,
Convinces me I can do anything,
Helps me reach for what is too high,
Always caring about everything.
She’s my best friend, for the past two years,
We stick together through good and bad.
She’s weird, she’s daring, she’s cute, she’s caring,
She’s the best thing I’ve ever had.
It makes me wonder if I’m good enough,
If I deserve to be her friend,
Because I feel like such a cold hearted person,
And I’m scared that this might be the end.
When she came to me with her problems,
I should’ve shown that I really cared,
I shouldn’t have ignored her silent pleas,
She must have been really scared.
For months and months we pretended,
That everything was fine,
When all of a sudden she broke down,
Two weeks before Valentine.
She said she was going away,
She couldn’t stand it here anymore,
And then I broke down just as well,
As the tears began to flow.
It was then I was once again reminded,
To not take things for granted.
It was all my fault, That I was sure,
And it was this my mind constantly chanted.
And it was here, that I realized,
What I was doing wrong,
For you honestly don’t know what you have,
Until it really is gone.
Drip, drop, my tears poured on,
And still do to this very day.
I’m so very sorry Katy,
I wish that you had stayed.
