Spirit of Freedom [Bolin]

Chapter 5

I sit on the shoulder of the Aang statue, people walked around the base. Some spotted me, some were oblivious. I just need some quiet time, even though I was gone for so many years.

I smile to myself, I wonder if Bolin has changed? I look at my grand fathers face and smile sadly. "Why do you keep pushing me off things?"

"why has everything been going wrong?" I say, tears slowly seep into my eyes. "Korra is missing, Bolin has a new girlfriend!"

I get up anger taking over now, "I HAVEN'T EVEN TOLD HIM THAT IM ALIVE YET!" Tears stream down my face. "I MISSED OUT ON SO MUCH JUST CAUSE YOU PUSHED ME OF A CLIFF!"

I sit back on the shoulder my head tucked into my knees. I wipe my tears off with my arm, I get back up and grab my glider which was leaning against his neck.

I open it ready to jump off, I turn back to Grandpa. "I forgive you though, I just needed to let off some steam. I love you Aang."

I head back to air temple island.

"So gorgeous, you wanna go out?" Prince Wu asks as him, Mako and I walk down the hall from his hotel room.

"That would be an honour prince Wu but sadly I'm not interested in seeing anyone at the moment," I say respectively as I continue walking.

"That is disappointing but when you want to just come ask me." He says looking at me, I look at Mako who is walking awkwardly between us. We make I contact and we almost start laughing but we hold the snickers in.

We reach the foyer and my breath catches, I couldn't breathe. Bolin was standing metres away from me, Mako looks at me he gives me a sympathetic look.

"I'll go to him first just stay here a second," Mako says placing his hands on shoulders and looking at me in the eyes, he turns to his brother his body blocking me. "Bolin!"

They punch each other then hug, I giggle into my sleeve. He definitely has grown up, I blush slightly. "Look at you! My little brother got all important."

It goes quiet all of a sudden and Mako moves out of the way. I look down as I feel his gaze on me, I look up at him, my blush coming back.

"Your joking right?" Bolin asks looking at Mako, he looked like he was gonna cry.

He slowly walks over to me but I run at him. I bury my face into his chest, tears pouring out of my eyes. He stands there shocked a moment but wraps his arms around me.

"You're real..." He cries, I realise he is crying as much as me. I stop my crying and I go to back out of the hug, I could feel everyone's eyes on me, us.

"Bolin, Everyone's looking at us." I say smiling, he hugs me harder forcing me into his chest again.

"I don't care, I missed you so much." He replies. I mumble into words into his chest but they were inaudible.

"Bro, I think your suffocating her." Mako says laughing, Bolin immediately lets go and pats my head.

"Your okay right? You were dead, what?" He says getting all his thoughts out in on sentence.

"I'm perfectly fine, I wasn't dead I was in the spirit world and my body got covered that's why my you guys couldn't find me." I look at Mako, who smiles at me reassuringly.

"Nini, you know how much I love you but I'm..." I cut him off with a smile.

"I know your dating someone else, Mako has caught me up on everything. Opal, Lin's niece." I smile up at him, I poke his cheek and I blush comes over them. "I think it's a adorable, I can't wait to meet her."

"Is Korra here?" Bolin asks, I shake my head and Mako walks over to us.

"No she was supposed to come in with Tonraq but he said she left the South Pole months ago. No one knows where she is." Mako explains, Bolins face grows worried. I run his back.

"Is this the guy holding you back, gorgeous?" Wu says walking over and throwing his arm around my shoulders. Bolin looks at me confused and Mako just snickers. "I'm sure I can beat him if I have to win your love..." I shake my head furiously.

"Prince Wu, you are a handsome, smart man but as I said I'm just not looking for a relationship. I apologise." He shakes his head and bows.

"I'm sorry master Nini but I will win you over," He announces, I look up at the boys for help they just cover their smiles.

"Your Royal cabinet is here, your majesty!" A man yells, I stand next to Mako who is more protecting me from Prince Wu then actually protecting prince Wu.

"Where have you been? My coronation is in ten minutes!" Gun, I think... and two other men walk up to him. "Where's everyone else? Where are the Seven Sacred Chests of Exquisite Finery? Where are my grandfather's taffeta pantaloons?"

I actually feel sorry for the prince, he just wants to be like his family.

"Sadly most of your servants were scattered and the Royal things were lifted after the queen was... Removed from office. So your coronation may not have some of the usual items... Like... The crown" I look at Wu sympathetically, he is having a really bad day.
