*Luna's POV *

She tightened her grip on Minato's hand, afraid that he might disappear at any moment.
The first thing that announced Danzo's arrival was the obnoxious ticking of his walking stick. The rithmic clanging echoed throughout the building making her even more nervous. Minato smiled encouragingly at her while also preventing her from hiding behind him. With a last clang Danzo stood still. He stood way too close for her liking but at least he wouldn't be able to touch her. "Well fourth hokage I assume that this will be the new recruit you spoke of."
"You assumed right lord Danzo." Minato nodded at him and let go of her hand. "Very well, follow me dragonkin." turning around he walked away. Hesitantly she took a step to follow him before coming to a halt. Looking back at Minato she asked in a small voice: "Y-you coming too?" He squatted down and took her hand in both of his. "Today is the first day that you'll be on your own. Here you'll learn to fight and defend yourself, but most of all you'll be protected from your own clan. I know it will be hard for you in the beginning, but I'm sure that you're going to be just fine." With watery eyes she turned around and ran to catch up with Danzo. She refused to look back to see him go.

Danzo didn't say anything to her during their walk. She kept a wary eye out for any dangers making sure no scouts were onto her.
It wasn't until they came to a stop before a little cottage in the middle of a bare terrain that she looked up at him. "What are we doing here?" she stared up at him suspicion clearly visible in her eyes.
"This will be your new home for the time being until you have showed your true worth and graduate as an anbu black-ops." He opened the door for her and gave her the most ugly key ever. It was rusty and old looking but that wasn't even the worst of it! The end was jagged and pointy. Very pointy, it could serve as a weapon in a dire situation. Old blood coated that end. The exact end that she needed to hold onto to be able to open the door.
"Your training will begin first thing in the morning. Your room-mate will help you settle." Clearly dismissed she stepped over the threshold and entered the cottage. The light that fell in was suddenly cut of when the door closed on a whisper leaving her in semi darkness. The walls were bare and had some bad spots, crushed leaves and twigs were scattered all over the floor and when she found the light switch the lamp refused to go on.
He dropped me in some kind of ruined cottage?! How dare he!
Stomping around she picked up the twigs and leaves throwing them outside. Even my cave is better cared for than this dump.
"You make a lot of noise for a novice anbu." an older girl emerged from a door hidden from her line of vision.
She spun around fuming "And who are you supposed to be?! You're the one who leaves all this garbage on the floor!" The girl just stared at her "The window is broken because of the storm yesterday."
She wanted to stomp her foot and scream at the unfairness.
"Right you must want to settle, your room is right behind you."
The girl turned around and was about to disappear through the same door that she had first come out of " Wait!  You didn't tell me your name."
She paused "Kallista." and with that she disappeared.
Turning around she walked to her new bedroom. The whole room was bare except for a single bed and a closet. At least it looks clean.  In a way she was disappointed because she expected so much more, but apparently it was only a little bit better than her cave. She inspected her whole room thoroughly making sure that it was as secure as could be.
Kallista knocked on her door some time later saying that the food was ready and that she should come eat.

*during dinner*

"So Kallista, how old are you anyway?" Her fingers were oily because of the fish she had been holding. A small smile graced the other girls lips "I'm 9 and I have been alone here forever!" she threw her hands dramatically in the air making Luna giggle. "At least now we're both here. I think we could help each other." "Help with what?"  Luna cocked her head to the side. "I don't understand." Kallista just smiled and shook her head. "Go to bed Luna. You'll need your strength in the morning." She started to grab the two plates when Luna had grabbed her fish carcass and swung it in front of her face. "I am not a child! If I want to go to bed I go, you can't force me!"  angry she jumped up and threw the carcass on the ground before she stormed to her room. Kallista stayed silent, stunned as she was.
