The Match

*Sunday*

Hey, my name is Jane Hunt, I'm sixteen years old and love to play football. Right now I'm at the stadium of the best club of the world. FC Schalke 04. I'm here with my dad, my friend and teammate Kyla Summer and her father,our coach Markus. We are going to watch the match between Schalke and Hoffenheim. As we have more than an hour to kick-off, Kyla and I play a little soccer ourselves. Suddenly Norbert Elgert, the youth coach from Schalke comes around and said: "Hello I'm Norbert Elgert, I saw you playing, you are really good. What are your names?" "Hello,  I'm Jane Hunt and this is Kyla Summer", I introduce us. "How old are you?" "Sixteen", Kyla answers. "Have you ever considered playing football professional? Because I'd like to invite you to a trial session." "Trial session? What's going on here?", Markus asks when he joins up to us. "You know these girls?", Elgert asks. "Yes, I'm their coach and Kyla's father. So what was this about a trial session?" "I asked the girls to come for a trial session because I think they'd perfectly complete our team." "But aren't girls forbidden in Bundesligateams?",I asked confused. "They need a special permission, but the club would sort this out. So what do you think? Do you want to try?" "Yeah sure. Where and when?", Kyla asks. "Tuesay at 15:30 on the main training court." "We'll be there." "Great, see you then. Now enjoy the match!" he says goodbye.

The match was really fascinating. Schalke scores an early goal through Alessandro Schöpf . But before half time Hoffenheim compensates. The second half is highly competitive, but nobody scores another goal. So the match ends drawn.

*Tuesday*

Today is the day. I finally gonna meet the players from Schalke. And on top of that, I will even play football with them! Quickly I get my things and just in time I am ready. Markus is driving us to the trial session, because we live about one hour away. When we arrive we change into our training clothes and then went to the pitch. Some of the players were already there. "Hey, you must be the new ones. Jane Hunt and Kyla Summer, right?", Ralf Fährmann, the goalkeeper, greets us. Before we could answer Markus Weinzierl, the coach got our attention. "Hello everyone. As you can see we have to more players today. Their names are Jane Hunt and Kyla Summer", he explained, "now let's get started with the training. We have to be prepared against Mönchen Gladbach. Especially because we play three times against them in the next two weeks!" After his little speech we start to train. It is far more exhausting than our normal training sessions. But I'm astonished that we can keep up with the other players. "Okay, that's it for today. See you tomorrow", Markus Weinzierl finished the training. Then he comes to Kyla and me. "Well done girls. We'll make an application for you to play national and international. When they arrive you'll be able to sign your contract. Until then we'd be pleased if you keep training with us." "Of  course we keep training with you. And thank you for eveything", I say. "No problem. Then we'll see you tomorrow." "Yes, goodbye."

*Friday*

We go to the training sessions every day. It is fun, but also hard because we still have school. Today I'd have to leave sports earlier to get my train to Gelsenkirchen. But first my group has to improve our jumpstyle choreography. After we go through it we hear cheers from behind us. We turn around and see Max Meyer and Benedikt Höwedes clapping. Now Mr. Wittler notices them too. "Sorry for interrupting your class, but we have some news for Jane Hunt", Benedikt explaines and holds some papers in his hands. "Is this-?",I ask curious. "Yes, it's your permission", Max confirmed. Then Mr. Wittler who knows what that meant says: "Well that needs celebration. We're going  to play dice football!" We make teams quickly and then started to play. When I was the first in our row I throw the dice and it shows only one point. When I look to my left side I see that Max too has a one. Great, I'm going to play one against one with Max Meyer.
When the ball is placed in the middle I sprint to my goal and then back to the ball. I reach it one second before Max and try to get past him. I shoot but I miss the goal and so Max is in ball possessions . When he shoots I barely stop the ball and then sprint to his goal and score.
After sports Max and Benni take me to Benni's car and we drive to Gelsenkirchen.

*Thursday*

Today is the europe league match against Gladbach. Last Thursday  we played 1:1 drawn against them but today is going to be better. And today Kyla and I are sitting on the bench. The match starts and sadly Gladbach scores early. Soon after the first they score again. In the 60th minute Markus comes towards us and tells us to warm up. Under the cheers from the fans we do our warm up and five minutes later Markus calls us back. "Okay Jane. You will play for Daniel on the right side. We need another goal, so do your best and we will win!" Then I pulled out my training shirt and stant next to the assistant referee. I tell him my shirt number and when the ball goes into touch the stadium announcer announced the substitution. Daniel jogs to us and we high five. Then I run across the pitch and when I arrive at my side Gladbach does their throw in, but I got to the ball first. I sprinted towards the ground line. I look up and see Leon at the penalty spot and pass to him. He shoots and scores! Happily I run to him and hug him. Soon our other teammates arrive and we have a group hug. But we need to score one more goal to make progress in the europe league. The game starts again and soon we are in ball possession. We play a few good passes but we don't manage to score a goal. Then Kyla is  brought on for Eric.  After a good pass from Leon I pass the ball to Kyla and she passes back. After another give and go pass we are in the penalty area. When I want to shoot I am fouled and the referee decides for penalty. Nabil takes it and scores. Now it's 2:2 with this result we are in the quarterfinal! It's just the added time left, so two more minutes to go. And then the referee blows the final whistle. Euphoric we run to our supporters. We hug and celebrate our victory even if it isn't a real one. The only important thing is that we made it into quarterfinals.

*Saturday*

Today is derby time. We are playing against Borussia Dortmund. From yesterday to today Kyla, Max and I slept at Leon's because we're best friends by now and so Kyla and I don't have to drive so much. Now we're in the locker room and Markus just tells me that I'm going to be in the starting line-up. I'm so happy about it. We do our warm up and then we walk in. We greet the other team and the referees and then we kick off. From the first minute on we put pressure on them. And soon this is rewarded by a goal from Leon. We keep the pressure and after a good dribbling from Eric on the left side and centres. I head goalwards and score! After half time Kyla is brought on and she scores another goal. The last goal scores Guido in the 90th minute. 4:0 what a win!
