"Harry wait up" Alisha called as we walked out of the school building, we both stopped and turned around. "I was wondering, if you'd like to go to the dance with me this weekend?" A pang of jealousy hit my heart and I knew if he'd said yes it would break. He's my best friend.
"Erm...I'm really sorry Im already going with Emery. We always go together." He smiles a shy smile and gestures towards me.
"Are you guys dating or something." She harshly remarks, glaring at me. Surely angry at being turned down by Harry. My Harry. My best friend.
"No, but she's my best friend and we've always gone together." Harry replies already done with this conversation, but trying to be polite
"Well maybe you should try something different this year." She grins pulling her top down the slightest hoping Harry will pay her more attention.
"No that's ok. Thanks anyways, see you around Alisha." Harry replies as we walk to his Range Rover. "We're in the 10th grade and people still think I'd go with anyone else to the dance besides you?" He says running his hangs through his hair
"You know Harry if you want to go with another girl you can." I smile at him
"There's no one else id rather be with" he touches my hand. And in that moment I realized we couldn't just be friends anymore. He felt it too.
*senior year*
You know puberty is a blessed thing. You thin out, get better skin, assets become noticeable. also boys become attracted to you.
Me and Harry aren't just best friends anymore we're kinda like best friends with benefits, and everyone knows. And when boys know you have someone else and your not a virgin they become more interested in you. As I walk down the hallway I tell Avory, my girl best friend, why I left halfway through my senior prom.
"So you didn't leave the school you just went to the bathroom so Harry could fuck you against the wall and then went on to do it again in his car." Avory asks giggling
"Better than any other dance I've ever been to." I shrug as we walk into class
